Anniversary Trip
My husband and I always have a great time during our relaxing getaway. This time was no different however there were a few things that might be deal breakers for other people. The pictures make this condo appear larger than it really is. It’s perfect for 2 or 4 people but 6 might be too many. The stairs to the bedrooms are very narrow and could cause problems for older people or people with balance issues. The lighting in the downstairs bathroom is a little strange, only 1 light above the sink which makes it pretty dark in the rest of the bathroom. The guest room is pretty dark as well. The condo is pretty shaded so even opening up blinds didn’t help much (maybe different light bulbs would make it brighter). The furniture in the living room is pretty small. My husband was uncomfortable sitting on them and he’s not a big guy by any means. Wasn’t too much of an issue since he just sat in the recliner. The patio and upper deck aren’t at all private. Luckily the neighbor is friendly. She does have a dog that will bark at EVERYTHING, he’s friendly but is pretty loud. We reached out to our host about the shower filling up/draining slowly. She said she had not noticed it while cleaning but would be glad to check it out. It wasn’t a big enough deal for her to have to come out so we declined her offer. Hopefully it has been looked at though. As a frequent traveler to Ruidoso I ALWAYS read reviews and find them very helpful. This condo at Whispering Bluff was conveniently located to lots of places for us, clean, well stocked and definitely served its purpose for our long weekend.
