Lovely view, great location - the perfect place to relax or walk to everywhere. Built at the turn of the previous century, Idlehour is full of period charm mixed with modern amenities. Across from The Mountain Heritage Hotel (home of Yulefest, Spa Sublime & Jamison Views Restaurant), Idlehour offers stunning views & just a ten-minute stroll to Katoomba's cafes, shops & train station.

Enjoy a soak in the claw-footed tub in one bathroom or a shower in the second. A washer and dryer are also available for the use of our guests.

Curl up in front of the open fireplace or browse the selection of D.V.D.s, board games and books available at the property. The large backyard is equipped with a B.B.Q. and an alfresco dining table and chairs.

Idlehour is the perfect holiday home for couples, families, two small sharing families, a three-generation getaway or even a cosy book club retreat. There is off road parking for two cars as well as street parking. You will have exclusive access to the entire house and grounds.

What an amazing place to stay. We arrived on a very cold afternoon. They floor lamps were on and the house was warm, the ambiance of the house was beautiful. The kids nearly lost their minds when they saw the bunk beds and all the stuffed toys, games and books for them to use. Everything we needed and more was provided. We highly recommend and will definitely book again for our next trip to Katoomba.

Large and cosy property

We went mid winter so great to enter the property to it being pre-heated. Great size rooms with high ceiling and an amazing view of the mountains from a main bedroom. Whilst the kids bunk beds were a bit dated the kitchen was amazingly well stocked and everything easy to operate including the house heating. Great stay and 5 mins walk from the town centre

Nice house, location & view

House was as expected and listed. Clean and warm. Nice little weekend stay. Fully stocked kitchen, however shower was not up to standards

Family getaway

Our family spent a beautiful weekend at Idlehour. It was perfect for us, with an open fire and good size lounge room for us all to gather and play games. The house is gorgeous and very cosy with everything you could need and in walking distance to Katoomba’s Main Street, even for a 9 year old. We loved it!
