Beautiful house

It was a lovely house with plank floors, comfy beds, nice kitchen. Everything was in good working order. I loved the upstairs bedroom, I felt like I was in the trees. There was a swing on the porch that I never wanted to leave and lots of birds singing their songs.

Loved our stay.

The lakehouse was great! We came for a family reunion. We brought our two children and met my father and mother in law. The inside was beautiful and the kitchen had everything we needed. The driveway was a little confusing. It is the lighter tan colored one and the house it set behind other houses. A picture of where to turn would be helpful. The only complaint were that the mattresses were thinner than normal and that the beds were very low to the floor. It was especially difficult for my in laws to get up and down.

Nice home in a populated area

We enjoyed our stay at this home. It was very clean and welcoming. A couple things to be aware of; the second bedroom is really a loft, there is no privacy other than being upstairs. Also, the home is in a populated area so we were disappointed by the number of homes that were right next-door to us and in front of us.The dock was at the end of the driveway and there was no land around it. We felt that we would have more of a water view and access to the shore. We also had some trouble with wasps in the house. But the home was well taken of and clean. The location was good for accessing all areas of Hot Springs.

Weekend Getaway to Hot Springs

The home was cozy and clean, perfect outdoor area for our dog. Short drive to Hot Springs with nice restaurants and grocery stores nearby. We enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again.

Family Vacay

We had a great, well needed get away with our adult kids and our dogs. The house was nice and cozy. Not too far away from everything. Would definitely stay there again!!!

Great place!

My wife and I stayed here for a relaxing getaway. The house was super clean and nice. I like that it is away from all the busy stuff in hot springs but still close enough for an easy drive to historic downtown area. Would definitely stay again.

Great stay, beautiful house.

This was a beautiful place to stay. No issues, everything in the house was homie and was in great working order. We enjoyed staying here and the neighborhood was nice and quiet.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. We have family in the area, and it was a perfect opportunity to catch up over the holiday, and at a cost that was less than a hotel. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Nice little place but not for all

Nice little spot off the beaten path. The boat dock needs updated. Seemed a potential hazard and definitely not for littles. Bed on first floor has broken frame making the mattress sink and terrible for sleeping. Upstairs bed is good.

Nice house to rent

The house was perfect for our trip with my mom and my dogs. The inside was very clean and well kept. My only complaint would be the yard needed to be cut.

Cute vacation home

The house is nice, was very clean and comfortable. If I had to pick a downfall to the property, the grass was a little long. However, it rained throughout our stay, so maybe it had been raining prior to our arrival and grew quickly. I would recommend the property to anyone wanting a comfortable home to vacation at.

Lake house

Our stay was very pleasant. House was clean, cute & well stocked. Only cons were the condition of the dock & the path to get there was all weeds no path. Besides that the stay was nice & house was located about 10-15 minutes from every where we wanted to go. Thanks

Perfect place

Everything was better than I had imagined. Very clean and arranged nice. I travel with my dog so it was important to have a place comfortable for us both. It really could not have been more perfect. The large yard allowed us to play outside and the lake is right there just steps away making it nice to play there also.

Vacation

Everything was very clean and nice. The kitchen was well supplied. The only thing I didnt like was the roaming dogs on the property. We have one deaf dog and one half blind and deaf dog its my job to keep them safe at all times and I would have to watch for the other dog running up on us while mine used the restroom. The roaming dogs would leave when I asked it to but it would randomly show up or come in the yard while we were outside. It also followed us to the dock. The only other issue was only one remote had working batteries so we would have to take the batteries out share on the other remotes.

Great place but description is inaccurate

The house itself was great. Very clean and kitchen had most everything needed. Bed, as mentioned in other reviews were very low and mattress could/should be replaced. It is NOT on the lake as described. There is a small Trail that leads through/beside another property to get to the water. While we loved being able to have our dog with us, there really isn’t any safe area to take a dog walking. And yes, the neighbor clearly doesn’t keep their dog in a fence or indoors. He was friendly, but that is annoying. I wish you could pick this house up and drop it in a better location. If so, we’d definitely be back!

A bit different than expected

Overall the property is 3/5. It is not located directly on the water. It is located up the hill from another property below that is directly on the water. The dock is approximately 30 yards from the house and directly beside the neighbor’s property. There were 3 dogs off leash on the property while we were there. I would not recommend bringing your pet with you due to that. It was clean and great location to get to town. Communication was fast and easy with the owner. It was just not exactly as we expected.

Good home with some Quirks

The home is a nice home situated in a semi quasi neighborhood of homes that aren’t as nice. It was a little finicky to find as it sits behind another home and shares a drive with another home. The second “bedroom” I wouldn’t call a bedroom as much as an elegant loft. It doesn’t have a door for the bedroom so there’s limited privacy there. The thermostat was locked so you couldn’t adjust the temperature of the home. The dock for the lake is old and shows its age plus the water there is not that clean. There were two dogs that came by the house while we were there from other neighbors homes. Again, it was a nice home with some quirks.

Cute little house but had its flaws

I honestly feel torn on how to rate this property. It's very cute and the owners clearly take good care of it. The place seemed clean but there was a lot of dust and the grass was too long. The thermostat had a lock on it so you couldn't choose your own temperature which was frustrating because it got hot at night. The dock is unusable because it looks like a safety hazard. It tilts and looks like it is in bad condition so I didn't feel safe stepping out on it. It also had a lot of poison ivy that you had to walk through to get to the lake. The living room is decorated very nicely but it doesn't really have enough seating for a family. It needs to have furniture outside on the deck too! I wouldn't say I'm super disappointed in this property but it wasn't my favorite either. It has a few small issues to work out.

Deceptive Description

I was looking for a quiet place on the lake for a family vacation. I chose this rental based on the description, and photos of the location. The pictures are deceiving. The house in and of itself is nice, no problems with the actual house. The location of the house is where I take issue. The pictures make it look like the property is isolated and private. It is not. This property is in a neighborhood, surrounded by other houses. Not the secluded look in the pictures. It is located a short distance from the airport, so there is constant noise from planes taking off and landing. The "private boat dock" is that, but the dock is a rickety, weathered old dock, crammed in a dirty, trashy little inlet of the lake. The water is full of debris and not the type of place one would enjoy swimming with kids. One would really have to look closely to find the "private dock" because there is only an overgrown cow trail leading to the water. I was looking for a quiet house on the lake, with access to the lake for my family to enjoy. The description of this property, and the pictures of the property are misleading in that regard. If you're looking for a nice little house, with a decent yard, then this property does deliver that. But take the pics. and description with a grain of salt.
