You really can''t beat this location, close to everything you'd want to do. Cabin needs some updates but you get what you pay for.

60th anniversary

It was a cabin which is exactly what we wanted. Couldn't have been much cleaner. Couple of negatives are the lumpy mattresses and the iron in the water. We were there 2 nights so hand washed all the dishes. Honest, truly, my fingernails turned orange!

Weekend Getaway

We had a beautiful snowstorm for the weekend. The cottage is cozy and warm. The view is beautiful with a tranquil, peaceful setting. It is close to town.

Perfect Spot to Escape for a few days

The place was tidy, the little beach area was perfect for my daughter to swim and play. We loved the deer roaming around and the Eagles were the cherry on top of a short stay.

Our stay in September

We had a good time during our stay. Weather was great but too early to see any fall colors. Enjoyed the campfires roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. We are crafters and worked well into the morning.

A cozy cottage with a gorgeous view of a quiet lake.

The cottage was clean and comfortable, stocked with linens, paper goods, and kitchen supplies. It is located within minutes of Woodruff/Minocqua, but the area surrounding was peaceful. Lots of wildlife.

Cabin up north

We were super pleased with our stay. Getting in was easy (make sure you read the instructions on the lock box!), the property matched the description, it was clean and tidy on arrival, and overall comfortable. We loved being right on the lake and close to family in Woodruff. Would definitely stay there again.

The perfect nostalgia trip for oldsters having a memorial service.

The weather was perfect and the space just right for our lunch after the service. The host was prompt and helpful when we had questions, the beds (mostly) comfy, and the decor charming. My family lived both on Gross Rd and over on Farming Rd and fished Hungry Lake often in the 30s, 40,s and 50,s. Saying good bye to my parents in this setting was just what we needed.

Peaceful and quiet.

This home is a great getaway. We sat outside for hours, watching the deer, eagles, and otters. The opposite shoreline is all undeveloped, it really felt like we were the only ones on the lake for most our stay. Great location for everything we like to do in the northwoods!

Perfect spot for us

My brother and I came up for a fishing trip and needed something simple. The cottage was as described. The only issue was trying to open the wrong lockbox to get the key but was quickly resolved.

Comfortable place

Peaceful and comfortable. Spotted an eagle and deer. Water from faucets smelled like iron but that is common in Wisconsin well water. I would definintely stay here again.

Weekend escape

This was a much needed break. Although it was quick it was exactly what we needed. The house is perfect for going and exploring the area and outdoors. If you are going to sit inside of the house and be pampered this is not the house for you but then again you probably aren't looking for that if you are here. Fishing off the dock provided small baitfish in an abundance unfortunately nothing more than that but wife and kids had a blast. Lots of deer especially in the morning. Overall great stay!

A Quiet Get Away

This property was clean and was as expected from the listing. The management company was easy to work with and provided an email with all the information prior to our trip. They responded within a couple when we had a question about the property. Would highly recommend this property as well as the management company Evolve.

Great Location

Loved the quiet and serene location. The cabin could use some TLC in general. There were also a couple of broken items which should have been taken care of prior to rental (toilet seat came off and my husband had to hunt for a screw driver to screw it back in; the blinds in bedroom were broken and laying in the closet so there was no covering on the window).

Great Location & View

While the location and view is great, the cabin could use a little TLC. If you stay here, bring your own toilet paper and hair dryer. Also, there were missing lightbulbs. I sent an email to the guest contact but never heard anything back. While none of this is really a big deal, we expected a bit more for the price we paid.

Serene lakefront cabin an easy bike ride from Minocqua

This place could do with some updating, but it makes up for its somewhat funky and neglected appearance by being mere yards from a serene little lake with its own dock. The beds are comfortable (soft yet firm underneath), the shower is generous, and the kitchen is well equipped. We brought bikes for our stay and were delighted that we could ride them into Minocqua to do our grocery shopping as well as around the woodsy local neighborhood and to the Bearskin Trailhead. The location is unbeatable: you feel you are in the wilderness, yet you are just minutes from all the shopping and other amenities you might want. The cabin faces west over the lake, so sunsets can be enjoyed either from the yard or dock – or through the large picture window in the living room. We enjoyed the little screened-in cottage next door with its games and card table. Better lighting over the beds, bedside tables, and some updated electrics would be great improvements, but against that the big screen TV had Netflix and other streaming channels and the kitchen knives were top of the line. The price, given all these pluses, is very fair indeed.

Good cabin

Check in progress was rough, there were two lock boxes on property (when I was only lef to believe there's one) and the lock box that was a actually connected to the cabin rented was not the lock box for the code given. The code given was for the lock box connected to the shed across from the main entrance to the cabin. This led to frustration while arriving, as I thought I was locked out of the cabin after a four hour drive north. The property manager got back to me about 3-4 hours after I tried to get a hold of them but by that point I had already found the proper lock box with the cabin key on the door to the shed. I must insist that the cabin owners provide more detailed instructions to help find the PROPER lock box as there are MULTIPLE on the property. I also must insist that the property manager be able to respond better on check in days. A 3 hour delay of response is unacceptable, even at 9pm
