Convenient

This place is perfect if you’re attending a concert or game at Rogers Arena. The train station is noisy as it’s right next door but we grabbed some ear plugs and problem solved! Very convenient location for many downtown activities. Gaining access has many steps so follow carefully.

Convenient for the Laver Cup. Apartment needs to be reviewed by owner and minor problems fixed. No wine glasses! No TV. No book with information on Sky Train, buses, etc. Would be very hot in height of summer. Very noisy.

Visit to Vancouver

Location is next to a busy road and subway station, so can be a bit noisy. Accommodation is as listed. Felt very safe!

Mistake

We were not happy with this space...on the day of arrival, we were asked to arrive later than designated check in time after a very long day of driving. This was not possible, so we checked in at the specified time and were told it was because we arrived on time that the place was not cleaned properly. The apartment was DIRTY. The sheets were stained, light bulbs were burnt out, the dishwasher is covered in a black plastic bag, the sofa was broken, the mirrors were all streaked and covered in foggy film, one of the 2 fans provided was broken. A request to speak with the property owner was put forth, 2 attempts were made and nothing else. Arrangements were made to drop off a replacement fan, which arrived in a box ready to assemble, really? Only one fob is provided, this allows guests to access the building and garage. One fob is not sufficient if you do not plan on coming and going 100% of the time with the other guest. I own a short term rental and am shocked at the state of the space as well as the incredibly poor attempt to communicate. I would not recommend this place to anyone if they are looking to enjoy their stay from start to finish. It is too bad, we dd give the property owner the opportunity to make things better but the effort was not there. Aside from location, the state of the space is unacceptable and the cost of this place was grossly high.

Only great if you are a hockey fan and like road street noise

We were in town to visit friends and were looking for a spot near a bus/metro line but when we got to the building that housed this unit, we were not aware it was exactly next to a station across the street from Rogers stadium where our Kraken were playing the local team but not wanting to see. So it was noisy until the end but you could still hear every incoming train. We eventually got used to it. The worse part was just trying to check in to get get our keys to the unit. The concierge was more than helpful but only do what he was allowed to do as the host had to let us into the building and we were required to call the unit access code which we were given but it kept sending us to voice mail. The host did not ever receive our call that was generated from the outside telegate (?) so we were stuck and I was then trying to communicate with host through the VRBO app which did work but after over 10 tries with even the concierge nicely letting us into the lobby so we could get his help thus. He tried to reach host directly a few times to no avail but eventually after the host called the concierge directly to give permission over an hour later were we able to get into the unit to then get the keyfob in the unit after the door code was given so we could park our vehicle in the very secure parking garage. Very convoluted process as if we were trying to get into a prison while host knew when we were expected to arrive. The dishwasher was non functional which was told to us in advance, and no biggie. The bathroom and kitchen were nice and modern but we were not able to use any of the posted amenities as were described like the pool and hot-tub. We felt like we were very misled and left disappointed. Turned out the host was out of the country and had connectivity issues. Host should have had a surrogate host option to better assist the customer to avoid such issues in the future.
