New Beach House, Amazing Views, Pink Sand Beach, Walk to Bistro/Pool Bar

This charming new house, just completed in 2022, is on a private gated road and is a short walk from a spectacular mile-long pink sand beach. Flipper Refuge has breathtaking ocean views throughout, and you can hear the sounds of the waves from every room. Flipper Refuge is elevated with the windows looking out at the tree-tops, providing a lovely sense of being in a tree house. Come recharge your batteries and be in harmony with nature.

Flipper Refuge has two bedrooms, both with queen beds. Both have ocean views. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan, screened windows with noseeum screen, and an independent mini-split AC system. So you have many ways to enjoy the breezes and keep cool.

We have one full bath with a walk-in shower. There is also a wonderful outdoor shower with plenty of privacy.
The living area features a 42-inch flat screen TV. The dining area has seating for 5.

The kitchenette is equipped with a full-size refrigerator, two-burner induction cooktop, microwave, toaster, Digital Air-Fryer Toaster Oven, coffee maker and all the necessary dishes. You can use the oven/stove in the owners main house if you need to do more serious cooking. Our water is drinkable, filtered and purified with a UV system.

Imagine yourself relaxing on an elevated terrace with breathtaking views of the ocean. This shared common space is perfect for enjoying the sunrises, having your coffee, your meal, or simply relaxing after a long day.

Amenities include AC throughout, high speed Starlink WIFI, dedicated desk workspace, smart TV (but no cable), charcoal grill, washer/dryer, back-up generator and a UV Water Filter, and private outdoor shower. Access available to the owners oven/stove and washer and dryer in the main house. All windows have no-see-um screens enabling you to sleep with windows open. Walk five minutes down our paved road and you are on a world-class pink sand beach with turquoise water, well protected by a barrier reef for great swimming, snorkeling, spear-fishing, and long walks year-round. There is typically no one else on this beach. And yet a 5-minute walk brings you to Sky Beach Club's excellent restaurant, bar, and pool bar. You are welcome to use their facilities if you buy a drink at the bar or lunch at the restaurant.

Governors Harbour, the main town, is just a five-minute drive. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. It has a nice little collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking a picturesque harbor. You can buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock. Friday night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour is a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street. You won't want to miss it.

Your hosts, Flipper and Normand, live right next door if you need help with anything or advice about the island. Flipper will take you keelingling and spearfishing if you like. But if you prefer privacy, you will never see them.
