Disappointing stay

We stayed in the apartment for two weeks and arrived to an extremely damp smelling apartment. We understood it had rained the week prior but the property managers should have attempted to ventilate it prior to our arrival. It took three days for the smell to clear which wasn’t great being pregnant and with a toddler. It says ground floor but really the bedrooms/ bathrooms are lower ground. The carpets smelt and the neighbours were upset we were there because the building does not allow short term rentals which made quite a hostile environment. No available child seat or cot. When we said we weren’t happy then they just said that cancellation rules apply.
