Great Oceanside Spot

Everything about this place was comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked. The linens were very comfortable and nice. The place was very very clean. We stayed here with three families and it was easy for us to have our own space. The only thing I would say is that all nine of us in the living room was a little tight! Beautiful views, though.

Great Stay!

5-Star Views

The views are stellar from the living room, deck and master bedroom, rain or shine. The kitchen is tight when one is cooking, one is prepping and others are passing through from other areas of the house or coming in from outside. There was ample towels and linens. We appreciated having a washer and dryer handy. Very relaxing.

Summer beach house

This house has some great perks. The view of the ocean is grand. Sitting on the deck is marvelous. A five minute walk to the beach was very much appreciated. The kitchen and gathering space (dining and hanging out) was cozy. Our family of 10 had the whole house.

Great View, but...

The view from the living room and especially the upstairs master were great. The views and it's location to the beach/downtown area are why we rented it. The pictures are very accurate online. The beds were average, but plenty of linens. We arrived during a storm. It was hard to get there due to downed trees & flooded highways. There was no power when we arrived (not anyone's fault). But we could not find a working flashlight. We did find a few candles and quite a few battery operated candles...eventually. I would highly recommend some kind of information close to the door as to where you could find emergency supplies. *we did go into town the next day and purchased batteries and a few more cheap flashlights which we left there. The power came back on 26 hrs later. But we could not get the modem/internet set back up. Thus we could not get messages/calls from Vacasa unless we drove into Tillamook. Which landed up being a big problem because we also rented the downstairs for another family of three. Their car could not make it through the flooded highway due to it being small & low to the ground so they gave up trying and went back home. After being on hold with Vacasa for over 20 min we still did not get a resolution. The next day we tried again with Vacasa and it was never ending of being on hold, etc. The kitchen seemed fine. But we were afraid to buy food other than snacks due to no power the first day. So I'm not sure if everything worked/was well stalked. As others pointed out, the living room setup is not great at all. And the huge cabinet for the TV does not work well for anyone in the room to watch. It needs to be taken out altogether. The sofa and chairs are VERY "sinky". It was not comfortable to set in any of the furniture other than chairs from the table. There are tons of knick knacks everywhere and lots of them are breakable. And most of the decor, bedding, and furniture are very dated and faded. We loved the view but felt like we were at great grandma's house. One last note about the parking, I can't imagine getting more than two cars in the provided space.

Nice home and beautiful ocean view!

I loved the fact each of us had our own private area and bathroom and we also had a lovely living room on the main floor we'd all could gather and laugh and talk and catch up on all the years we' have been apart. I loved most all supplies were provided including bedding and towels and pots and pans

Too worn and tired for the price

The property was in an acceptable location with ocean view. The size was large enough for our group of 8 adults and some small children however we were surprised to find that part of the living quarters were accessible from an outside door and not connected to the rest of the property. It made it awkward for sharing meals and games. In general the property was very worn and tired looking. The duct tape connected pieces of linoleum when you first walked in should have been the first red flag. The lower living quarters were clean and less dated however there were lots of ants on the counter. When we first arrived we started cleaning. The dishes, especially glasses and silverware were smudged and grimy. All the serveware had to be washed. Whoever is doing the cleaning for these owners is doing a haphazard job. The sink plugged up after 1 day and since it was Thanksgiving we just cleaned the clog ourselves rather than call someone on a holiday. A thorough cleaning and some updating would make this property much more desirable. We made the best of the situation and enjoyed our family time since we were fairly close to the beach but we all felt that the property was very overpriced for the condition it was in. We have stayed multiple times with our family on the Oregon Coast and this was our least favorite home we have used.

Family rental-rent both units

Location is good, bedrooms are spacious. Parking is good. The lower unit needs some attention… I would rent both units if you are thinking of staying here as the noise level in the lower unit is very high when there is anybody upstairs. Well this is a vacation rental, it seems that the owners could trust their renters just a little bit more with nicer furnishings. This home needs updating as many items are broken or more than well used.

Wonderful views!

We rented both units but were able to fit 8 people comfortably in the larger upper unit. Tight sitting quarters in the living room with large parties but manageable. We liked having cable on TV and wifi for the rainy days. Views are wonderful from the house and location is great. We would definitely rent this house again!

Spectacular views

Big windows and huge deck with lots of chairs to enjoy the spectacular view of the Arch rocks. We saw whales feeding up close everyday. The tunnel and Tunnel Beach on the other side are a special treat. A short walk to the beach but beware Oceanside is built on a hillside so be prepared to walk uphill. There is parking and a restroom at the beach access but the entrance down to the beach is difficult.

Good location with great view

This is a good vacation rental with comfortable spaces and a great ocean view. The upstairs unit has three rooms and a trundle in an upstairs alcove that was helpful for kid sleeping arrangements. The kitchen and dining areas accommodated our large group well. It would be helpful if the house had a few more things in the kitchen including: tinfoil, a few tupperware and more spoons. Also, the upstairs bath did not fully plug so a plug would be nice.

Great weekend trip

We had a great trip with some of our extended family. Loved the views from the house - especially the upstairs master bedroom. Amazing to be able to sit in bed and look at the ocean. We love the nearby beach and tunnel. We enjoyed hunting for rocks, tidal pooling, and watching the storms blow in and out. Even though it was a cold and windy weekend we had a lovely trip. Beds were comfortable. We didn't realize that there were no inside stairs connecting the 2 halves of the duplex which was a little annoying. There were also quite a few dead and alive bugs in the bottom unit - it would have been nice for someone to have swept the day or day before we arrived. But, overall a positive experience and we would recommended it. Great location.

Great vacation in wonderful house

The house was plenty big and very clean. We enjoyed our stay. The only problems with this house is the door to deck was leaking water from bottom unto carpet so we put a towel there. The dryer was very slow to dry. Other then that it is a very nice vacation home. Just need the door fixed before it becomes a bigger with house. We will be back.
