About the home
“Thompson House Phillip Island” is a delightful single-storey family home in central Cowes just metres from supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes and a short walk to the beach. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
The large Living room at the front of the home is set up as 2 areas, the front one with 75" smart TV, bluetooth sound bar & XBox, and behind that another space with 40" TV & XBox with some games (no FTA channels). The central open plan Kitchen/Dining Room provides access to both Bedrooms and a bathroom (with shower & toilet). Internal doors lead to the Double garage which in turn has a 2nd bathroom (with shower & toilet) and fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine and clothes dryer).
Outdoor Areas
The covered rear Alfresco (with gas BBQ, table & chairs for 6 people with an additional 8 chairs in the garage) overlooks enclosed rear and side yard which is perfect for children and pets. The double garage provides parking for 2 cars, there is space for 3-4 cars in front of the garage and the long side driveway provides space for an additional two vehicles (cars and/or a boat).
Please note there are three security cameras facing the external areas of the home - they do not view any private areas in the home.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cook top. There is also a 2nd full sized fridge available in the garage
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are four wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioners; one in each of the front Living Room, Kitchen/Dining room and in each of the Bedrooms. There is also a coonara-style wood heater in the Living Room (wood not provided), plus one additional stand-alone heater that can be used if required.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 9 beds, accommodating up to 10 guests:
Bedroom 1: One Double bed
Bedroom 2: Four sets of Single bunks
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
