We booked Lorikeet House for 4 weeks and were very happy there but if you are looking to stay in a high rise soulless, clinical, modern, minimalist apartment, then Lorikeet House is not the accommodation for you. If you are looking to stay in a classic, comfortable, well equipped house that oozes lots of charm you will not be disappointed. This is a house that has been full of love, laughter and where memories have been made and will continue to be made. The lovely owner, Gina and her daughter in law met us to show us around on arrival. There are 3 good sized double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large lounge, dining room and kitchen with private entrance upstairs on one level so plenty of room for our family. We enjoyed sitting out in the sun on the balcony off the living room at the front and had daily visits from birds every morning on the balcony off the dining room at the back. My grandson was so excited every morning to see and feed the birds with a mix of bread, water, sugar or honey. Sometimes as many as 24 lorikeets arrived plus minor birds and magpies. There is a lovely swimming pool shielded by fencing in an established garden at the front and ample private car parking at the rear of the property. 2 separate units are rented out on the ground floor and there is a separate studio that is rented out in the garden. Lorikeet House is only a short walk to local shops/restaurants and tram station so ideally located to explore surfers paradise and the Gold Coast.
