No communication.

I was told I would receive check in details 3 days prior to my check in date but never received anything. I tried contacting the host and got no response. Do not recommend booking with him.

We booked this vrbo over a year ago. Drove 8 hours and when we arrived the host messaged us and said it was no longer available. Left us scrambling to find other accommodation

Convenient

The space was clean, check in and out was easy, location was great for us. The building is older but clean. The down side is there is a lot of street noise, there is no A/C so it was very hot, we had to keep the windows open.

Waste of time

I don't know how this host is allowed to stay active on this site. Read the reviews. Unreliabe. Unresponsive. Canceled our reservation 4 hours after check-in time with zero correspondence ahead of time.

Cancelled With No Reasonable Alternative

Cancelled the day of arrival by owner. I understand there was a water leak but the place they tried to place us at was 10 km away from Rogers place. We were in town for my daughter's 20th birthday at the Oilers game. We were sent to a much smaller basement suite waaaay to far away to walk which is why we chose the location in the first place. The extra 45 on driving to the new location and then realizing it was no where close to downtown made us so late in finding a hotel room at ridiculous prices that my daughter and her friend were too late to attend the "Moss Pit" outside of Rogers Place on HER BIRTHDAY!!! This was the entire purpose of our 6 hour drive to Edmonton. Super dissappointed.

I spent 2 hours trying to get ahold of someone to tell me how to get into the building, missed my dinner reservations and was late to a hockey game I spent a lot of money to see.

What happened....

Host canceled the reservation 4 hours before check in so cant rate inside or cleanliness. I dont understand why we are able to pay for a rental we were not able to use. Ended up rental a hotel last min.... no beuno buddy

Host cancelled on the night of check-in.

On the day of check-in, I messaged the host for any specific instructions on how to get into the unit as well as called, left messages and received no response. He later got back and told me the unit is not available and cancelled the reservation with no explanation or apologies, despite me having booked many months before. We were left with no accommodations when we landed at 11pm in Edmonton and was left scrambling for a hotel last minute. Would not recommend.

Stranded and Dirty

The condo is an older high rise building that’s been updated. The suite is refinished lovely and as per the photos. The location is great. However when we arrived Edmonton at 9:30pm after a 12 hour drive we discovered that our VRBO welcome email did not include the key codes to get in. We were unable to reach the owner through VRBO messaging so had to contact VRBO customer service. 40min later we finally got the codes. Then we arrived in the condo only to discover that it hadn’t been cleaned. We asked the owner for a refund so we could find a hotel and he refused. Not even an apology. All he would do is offer to have the cleaner come in the morning. We had to sleep in our clothes on the bed. Don’t expect good and warm communication or cleanliness if you stay here.

Would stay again

This place was a great stay. Beds were comfortable and clean, the space was open, the balcony has great views of the river valley, and it was perfect walking distance to the arena.
