"By the Bay" är en vuxen enda etablering och har en av de mest unika, ständigt föränderliga, havsutsikt på hela kusten. Vårt enrumslägenhet ligger på bottenvåningen, Ocean sidan, och ligger i samma byggnad som vår 1200 kvadratmeter tre säng Stadsbostad. Ingångar och parkering finns på motsatta sidor av byggnaden. Det finns en 6'-cementmur som ger fullständig integritet och delar upp "Wing Wa" kinesisk lounge parkeringsplats från hyrorna. Den mycket populära 'Tidal Raves' Oceanfront Restaurant & en stadspark ligger precis över Hwy. 101. "Tidal Raves" öppnar klockan 11 varje dag och stänger för januari månad för en månad varje år. Denna romantiska, rena och mysiga, enrumslägenhet är trimmad med "Alaskan, Old Growth Cedar". Ta med dina 78, 45 eller 33 RPM-poster för att spela på Victorla-skivspelaren. Hemmet har alla kakelgolv, en gas logg spis, en ny drottning minne skum madrass, plus alla samma bekvämligheter som vår stad hem. Denna enhet har en privat, Ocean View, täckt, vindskyddad, "Alaskan Old Growth Cedar" Patio. Den här enheten passar bäst för 2 vuxna. Vacation

The property was fairly easy to find, passed it the first drive by because the buildings are all so close to each other. There were a lot of homey things to choose from while relaxing after a long day of sight seeing; books, music, tv with DVD's. The couch though was VERY uncomfortable, after an hour or so my butt hurt like crazy. The bed was amazingly comfortable tho. It wasn't as clean as I would have liked and expected and then they expected you to do the end of stay housekeeping; sweeping, mopping, cleaning shower, bathroom, stripping the beds, etc. I paid for a host fee and a nightly fee to stay there, I don't expect to have to clean the house, they should have someone to do this. Overall, we had a great time seeing the ocean for the first time. Thank you.

We won’t be coming back

I’ll start by saying this is my husband and mine’s second time staying here but first time in the lower unit. A few years back, we stayed in the larger upper unit and really enjoyed our stay. It’s an older place but everything was clean and well-maintained. I wish I could say the same for our visit this time in the downstairs unit. I’ll just go with pros and cons and let you make your own decisions. Pros: 1. The property is in a great location and is walkable. 2. The price is very affordable. (Book somewhere else in advance and it’ll be nicer.) 3. It has everything you need but nothing more. 4. Shower head is tall and has good pressure. 5. Quiet. Most of the area is though. 6. Windows in the bedroom open to keep it cool for sleeping. Cons: We didn’t reach out to the host for any issues. There were several and we just decided to not spend our vacation time contacting the host with multiple issues. 1. The main living space has a great view but gets very warm. (Stayed in August) There are many windows but nothing opens! 2. Killed multiple spiders and there were ants all over. 3. The outdoor patio is adorable but is covered in webs and the spiders to go with them. 4. The house wasn’t clean. I’m the clean freak and my husband said something first. I had to wipe down the bathroom before we could use it. We wore socks always as things stuck to our feet otherwise. This was definitely the worst part. Cleanliness would go a long ways everywhere here and eliminate the pests.

Another nice stay

We've stayed at this property and the 3 br unit on the upper floor several times before, and, as usual, the unit was clean and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. If we needed anything all we had to do is let Walt know and he would take care if it quickly. Great view of the bay and the best restaurant for miles is directly across the street. recommend this and the upper unit to anyone.

Fantastic cozy place with a great view

This place is super cute, comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well stocked, there is a washer and dryer and is comfortably furnished. The view of the beach is an added perk, it’s great couples getaway, it’s quiet and easy to get to.

Across the street from the bay

We enjoyed our stay even though we had doubts about the apartment being next to Highway 101. Thankfully, because of the double pane windows, traffic sounds were kept to a minimum. The bedroom is at the back of the home with a comfortable bed. There is a nice kitchen with most everything you need for cooking and a gas barbecue set up outside. We especially liked the location and being able to watch grey whales in Depoe Bay. Recommended!

Relaxing Stay!

Accommodations were very nice! There were lots of nice amenities such as USB ports in the bedroom lamps, CD’s with a Bose stereo - music of all genres, wonderful view of the ocean, walking distance to lovely shops, nice protected patio with BBQ, excellent parking area. The full kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. It was lovely to meet Walt as well. We felt at home.

Perfect for whale watching

It had everything we could need with plenty of room, even 2 sets of binoculars. Comfortable bed and a great shower head. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of cleaning supplies. Tidal Raves across the street is our favorite restaurant in Depoe Bay. It’s also close to plenty of other restaurants and the cliff trail.

Perfect Getaway

We loved this little vacation rental! So easy to walk to shops, restaurants, and activities, and a short drive to Taft and Lincoln City for anything we couldn’t find in Depoe Bay! No cleaning fee was a BIG draw, and the checkout expectations were no more than what we would normally do! So grateful for a simple spot to enjoy our time away without breaking the bank. Thank you!

Directly across the street from Tidal Raves restaurant which is spectacular and easy walk to all of the town. Ocean view is awesome. Owner was very responsive when we couldn’t figure out the TV the first afternoon and made sure it was working when we got back from a day trip the following afternoon. Too much “stuff” (decorations & knick-knacks) for my personal taste. But I’m a minimalist so your mileage may vary! Windows facing the ocean didn’t open so we had to open the front door to hear the waves and get a cross breeze, but there was no screen door so we didn’t leave it open. We book ocean front exclusively to be able to hear the waves and get the cross breeze so that was disappointing.

Very Relaxing

My sister and I had a girls weekend at the coast. We found this house and loved it. We have stayed here twice. We can walk the town of Depoe Bay, eat at the wonderful restaurant across the street and watch whales from the patio . The house is well equip for our needs. Yes we will be back.

Well worth it!

Great location. Quiet, clean, very comfortable. Great view of the ocean with whales visible from the dining table. The patio is a great place to sit and enjoy a game of cards in the evening. Also, a great restaurant right across the street.

Cute, quiet, & great location

We really enjoyed our time in depoe bay. The house was within walking distance to all the shops and several restaurants. The decor in the house was interesting and mismatched but that didn’t matter to us too much! This is the first place I’ve stayed where we had to do the cleaning ourselves but you don’t have to pay a cleaning fee so it works out well. The owner Walt is friendly and responsive to messages. I thought the listing said the bed was a Queen but it was definitely a full so that was a bummer. Overall we would stay here again!

My wife and I enjoyed the 5 day get a way just fine. Enjoyed the easy access to the owner, Walt and really enjoyed the nice, cool weather as a diversion from the Idaho 100 degree days.

We were very fortunate to have found this unique Ocean view, City Center property. Walt has retired from his Real Estate business & we are now concentrating on these wonderful Vacation Rentals.

Our Ocean View is unique to the Oregon coast, with its large unusual naturally formed rock formations and ever-changing wave action. We have at least 2 usually 3 waves, all moving in different directions, then they meet, crashing together, 50 feet in the air. Of course, the wave action is much more entertaining during the winter months.

During very low tides, we enjoy our own Marine Garden View. The Apartment includes a Covered, Ocean View, Old Growth Alaskan Cedar, Wind Protected Patio. With a very unexpected Ocean View This cozy home away from home is one of the very best values on the coast.
