JUST AVAILABLE FOR THE 2025 SEASON!
Private bucolic setting on the ocean side of Wellfleet. Walk to the beautiful Duck Pond. Woodsy, secluded, lovely home. Enter through the front door to the living room with cathedral ceilings, open to the dining room and kitchen. Fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. Art flanks the walls in this cozy, homey bungalow. Off the dining room is the lovely screened in porch and deck for outside grilling and enjoying the private, wooded back yard. On this floor there is a full bath with tub/shower. First floor bedroom has a queen bed with a mini split and ceiling fan. The living room/kitchen/dining area is also cooled by the mini split. The house has a lovely flow on this floor for comfortable relaxing time with family and friends.

The side stairway up to the second floor ends in a loft-style bedroom that is open to living area below. (no doors). Here there are two twin beds, perfect for camping out. A ceiling fan moves the air. The 2nd bedroom has a double bed and another minisplit, keeping it cool. There's a second full bath on this level. This is a sweet house that is relatively new to the rental market, but reviews have been great for this home. The proximity to Duck Pond (and other ponds) the lovely quiet neighborhood, the care the owner has taken to make it comfortable, make this the perfect Wellfleet getaway. Shorter off-season stays are available.

In the unfinished basement there is a washer/dryer. Also, bikes, beach chairs, and a clam rake with a basket!

Non-refundable $250.00 fee (includes administrative fee and damage waiver assurance) plus applicable state and local taxes.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Very comfortable, clean, and tranquil. It feels a little larger inside than the photos suggest. On a very quiet dead end street. We enjoyed the access and the short walking path to the nearby pond. The 3 mini-split AC's provided excellent cooling on the warmer days. Melissa was excellent with communications and updates while we were booking and during our stay!

Beautiful, Private, Quiet Vacation Home -- An Artist's Dream Hous

Reviewer Comments: This was our third summer vacation in this lovely, art-filled house, filled with the essence of the former owner through her many beautiful paintings still framed on the walls. Quiet, secluded and very peaceful. The kitchen is well-equipped, spacious and very comfortable to cook in. Since we were only two people we used the upstairs -- which sleeps four -- as a writing studio. Beautiful crystal-clear ponds only a few minutes away. Ocean Crest beach, which offers magnificent sunrises over the dunes, is only a 10 minute drive away. The perfect morning is to watch the sun come up at Ocean Crest and then drive to the nearby Parisian bakery, PJ Boulangerie, for fresh croissants. Pearl's offers free live music from 3:00 on with lovely views of the Wellfleet Town Pier. We visited during an unusual hot spell (in the high 80's) and the house AC worked very well. If you love nature but also want simple creature comforts, this is the house for you.

A Lovely Place

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Truly excellent.The photos suggested it might be smaller than it is, but there's lots of space, and also lots of light. The art stars too: lots of it all over, enough to give the place real character and warmth. Add a great set of aircons and fans, and it made the place so hospitable.Location is excellent. I'm used to staying on the other side of the highway, but it was nice to be so close to the ponds. Duck is walkable, though note that the path just empties into the pond with no beach, and mosquitoes will find you on the path, so we just drove to the Duck parking lot. I hadn't been to Duck before and it's so serene, much less visited, and so clear. Great is also a tiny drive away. And everything else is pretty close too. Quiet, but no bumpy roads to drive down to get that quiet.Bedrooms were very good, and the loft area is bigger than it looks in the pics making it more of a 3rd option than you might think. All our beds were very comfy.The screened-in back room is nice too: just be ready to air it out as it can get hot. I liked reading there. And the outdoor shower is really nice, with hot water too.Kitchen well-appointed and had everything we wanted. Didn't use the TV or sound system, so dunno about them. Nice selection of things in basement for tenant use (beach chairs, lobster pot, clam hunting stuff, Igloo, etc.).And Melissa at the agency was great: very responsive (appreciated especially for a Sunday to Sunday rental), friendly, and proactive. We saw a couple of tiny things that might need work and she was ready to tackle each at speed, even though we ultimately didn't need them addressed, since they were so small (hence me not even specifying them in this review).We will very happily return here if we can. Thanks!
