Libertyville

The property was situated in a beautiful setting and close to amenities and the base. The house is wonderfully unique and spacious. The owner was very helpful and communicative. We really enjoyed our stay!

Perfect retreat space

Excellent location for a retreat or family gathering. 12/10! We loved the open space and many thoughtful details, such as the large whiteboard and fresh dry erase markers. The wifi and tech worked well. The A/C was amazingly cool, and we were there during a major heat wave. The outdoor area is absolutely beautiful, both day and night. The view of the river was lovely, and there were hardly any bugs, even outside at night with the pretty lights on. Beds were comfy. Communications with the host before check in and during our stay were super helpful; they were quick to reply to questions and considerate. Many more pluses than pictured or listed. Truly a unique, memorable stay.

Loved the Treehouse!

The house and the location were perfect! Coco was very responsive, and the home was very spacious and comfortable. The only reason I did not give it a 5-star rating is because of the cleanliness upon arrival. However, Coco immediately tried to rectify the issue and remained in contact with me even after our trip. Although my son graduated bootcamp, we plan on returning to the Great Lakes area and staying here again.

Graduation Stay

Great place! Plenty of room. It was convenient and a nice community. It was cold while we were there and were not able to use outdoor kitchen.Our son was graduating from Navy Bootcamp and it was a very short drive to graduation. Plenty of restaurants close by.

Great space, great location

We were in Chicago for a wedding. We took advantage of the opportunity to bring along 3 grandchildren (7,15 &16).The location was perfect for a day trip to the windy city and the layout of the house was great for the grands.Heated floors was a great perk.

Beautiful home

This home is filled with things to do for the entire family!!! A lot of toys and space for my one year old. The outdoor area is beautiful and well kept. My teenager loved the loft area. The most important feature about this home is the openness and high ceilings. I LOVED THE ARCHITECTURE. Lastly, it was close to the Navy base.

Libertyville retreat with great family room!

We stayed at this property during a lacrosse tournament being held at Canlan Sports Center in Libertyville. The property has a great kitchen and large table where we enjoyed pizza and played games. The Main bedroom has an attached bath, the second bedroom had bunks and a bed which was great for our teenaged son.

Everything needs repair

After months of planning I was informes 2 days before arrival the AC was not working. I was commited as i was installing a large project with a crew of 7. I said yes to my stay for 7 days. They did offer a refund but no alternative home was available to replace this rental. Every single towel holder in the home was missing. Some lights didn't work. The shower handles were missing in 2 of the showers making it very hard to turn the water on. No bed pillows in all but one of the rooms. Throw pillows are not bed pillows [ nasty]. There are no operating smoke detectors. I would not cook in this kitchen. Most of the pans are discusting. The freezer does not work and dont forget the alarm that tell you so, beeping until someone get up to reset. The key box is 50 years old and needs replacing. A large rock holds the storm door upon arrival. Trash was overflowing upon arrival.One TV for this whole property. No soap or shampoo in the bathrooms. towels are stocked in th laundry room if you are looking for them. No rEst because of temeratures. This property needs regular maintainence.Trouble getting truth from host. Broken promesses.This is an Evolve property not VRBO. NEVER AGAIN. I have rented at least 10 times from VRBO and have never encountered these kind of issues.

Teenage Dream house

We rented this house to stay for my daughter’s graduation from Navy Boot Camp. It was an easy drive in and ample room for everyone. The host was awesome and attentive to our needs. Honestly, we didn’t really have any needs, but we used party poppers in the house and wanted to be able to clean them up, but we couldn’t find the broom. Being from California, I was super nervous about being cold, but as soon as we walked in the house, it was super warm and felt so cozy. The heated floors are something that dreams are made of. My daughter loves line dancing so we had a little dance party and never had to worry about space. The upstairs area was fun for everyone, But also provided a nice little hangout area for when they wanted some time away from the whole group. I’d absolutely stay here again. My daughters exact words were “This house is literally a teenagers dream house, I love it here so much”

Good space but needs help

The space was great but parts of it are run down. Many things did not work well like the freezer, lights in master bath, dishwasher, no screens on sliding doors. Furniture needs to be replaced in living room. In master bedroom mattress and box springs were on the floor. There were no instructions on how to run anything.

Navy Graduation

Location is wonderful if you are celebrating your Sailor's graduation. It's about 13 minutes away from base, however, traffic gets crazy around base so you still have to leave really early. The house itself is in a great location. The neighborhood is super quiet and we felt completely safe. The only negative thing I would have to say is that there is only 1 TV in the house that runs off WiFi and 2 of the 3 showers handle was broken, so it took us a minute to figure out you just had to turn it. I was not a fan of the dishwasher, but that's a personal opinion. There was plenty of room, board games, and toys for the little one. He had fun with all the blocks. The teenagers loved the upstairs. We had plenty of space. Our sailor wanted special meals she had missed so we did a lot of cooking. There wasn't a large enough skillet for a family of 6 but enough cookware to get by. The host was wonderful and super sweet. My husband enjoyed sitting outside by the river, it was very peaceful. We would stay here again.

Warm and cozy in Libertyville with an amazing view of the Des Plaines River

This property was absolutely perfect for our family of three couples, a teenager and an afternoon of fun for a five year old and twin three year olds. The master suite is on the ground floor so it was perfect for my parents, the open floor plan made it very easy for my mom to navigate with a walker. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking, making coffee, tea and has a very large fridge. The little kids absolutely enjoyed an afternoon of climbing and swinging inside while single digit °F temps were going on outside. The radiant heated floor worked very well to keep the space very comfortable with negative single digit temperatures overnight. The numerous windows allowed us to watch the wildlife in the river along with the occasional ice flow coming down river. The outdoor space and river bank offers a nice quiet place to relax and meditate. The property manager was very nice and quickly responded to any questions we had. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Perfect!

Our party arrived on a Wednesday afternoon and we were all so pleasantly surprised. The house was amazing. I loved the homey vibe and uniqueness. When I first started looking at homes to stay several months ago in anticipation of my son’s Navy boot camp graduation, this is the first house that caught my eye. I knew we would have a bigger group and would need a lot of space. The outdoor kitchen and area was also perfect! I didn’t want to book so far in advance in case dates got changed so I waited until two weeks before his graduation date and was thrilled that it was still available. My son walked in and immediately went up stairs and started boxing. It has been months since he had been able to and I knew that feature would make him so excited. We were able to cook, play games, lounge around and grill out very comfortable. We even took naps outside on the grass. Being from South Georgia, we were not used to hardly any bugs and beautiful weather. Pros: Location to everythingNice, safe neighborhoodClose to baseRoomy and has everything we neededOutdoor spaceBeautiful and uniqueCons: really none… if I just had to be picky I would say maybe no ice….( not a big deal)The doors were a little hard to figure out but we did and all was well. Overall this was an amazing place for our blended family to come together and visit with our son before he left again. Thank you!!!

This House Delivers!

Our son was due to graduate from Navy bootcamp, and we were looking for a house where he could relax and have space, after being stuck in a room, and sharing a bathroom with the recruits in his division for 10 long weeks. I wanted him and everyone else to move around freely, and not just look at four walls,or be sitting on top of each other. When I saw this house on VRBO, I knew it was the one. My only hope was that the pictures were not deceiving.This house did not disappoint! We fell in love with it the minute we walked not even through the door, but around the corner to the entrance. The patio overlooking the river, is large and serene, especially when using the fire pit. Once inside, and past the laundry room, a well-stocked kitchen opens up to the dining, living, and playroom areas. The open concept is large, which allowed everyone to have their own space, yet still be together. The bedrooms are stylish, and the bathrooms are very updated to include a heated floor! The kids (and our Sailor) loved the loft area upstairs with the gym equipment and swings. It was a big hit for them.Although we brought our own, there were plenty of towels and wash cloths on hand to use. There also was plenty of linen. If you are bringing a family or friends to the area, this house would be perfect! My son, the Sailor said, "Mom, thank you so much for getting this house. I needed some space and to be able to move around". Half of the time while there, one of us would be looking for him, due to the fact that he was able to move around so much inside and out.We would definitely stay here again, when in the area.

Navy Graduation.

The house was so cozy and Fun. Perfect space for our family gathering and less then 15 minutes form the Navy base. Our guest host Coco was so great and personable.

Perfect spot for Navy boot camp graduation!

This property was perfect for several family members to stay & be comfortable, especially with having their own bathroom. It was very clean & spacious. It is a unique & awesome property. I was in touch with the host. She was delightful & quick to reply. The neighborhood is very nice. The location was perfect to get to the base & close to the cute town of Libertyville. I would definitely stay here again!
