Njut av en spektakulär utsikt över San Juan Mountain Range (inklusive Sneffles) från alla söderläge rum i vårt ett sovrum / ett badrum modernt hus med ranch stil. Två stora skyddade uteplatser med smidesjärn utomhusbord och sex stolar för att njuta av utsikten. Det öppna vardagsrummet är 1500 kvm och inkluderar vardagsrum, matsal, fullt utrustat kök och kontor. Elektriskt hem med golvvärme och tvättmaskin / torktumlare.

Detta är ett perfekt hem för par, pensionärer och äventyrare. Om du vill komma bort från allt är detta ett bra ställe för dig. Du hittar klara himlar, ljusa stjärnor, frisk luft och mycket av de lugna ljuden i naturen.

Det finns två enkelsängar i ett litet sovrum som skulle vara bekvämt för små barn till vuxna, och en futon i vardagsrummet kommer att sova två personer. Futon är i ett öppet område och eftersom det bara är i full storlek är det bekvämare för en person. Det finns inga trappor, så detta är ett trevligt hus för dig som behöver använda en käpp eller en rullator.

Den 35 tunnland stora egenskapen är en blandning av tallar i Aspen och Ponderosa, med huset beläget på en 5 tunnland öppen äng som tillåter en vid utsikt över San Juan-bergskedjan. Det är fantastiskt att gå genom träden eller bara sitta på uteplatsen och njuta av utsikten. Du kan njuta av höstfärgerna från uteplatsen, och vilda blommor finns inom en kort promenad genom skogen på våren och sommaren. På en klar natt ser du Vintergatan och ett överflöd av stjärnor och satelliter från uteplatsen. Ibland kommer en mängd olika vilda djur inklusive älg, rådjur, coyoter, chipmunks och fåglar att vandra in i landskapet. Det finns INGEN jakt tillåtet på den här egenskapen.

Att bara gå runt vägarna i underavdelningen är vackert, men du kan cykla, gå, xc skidor från uteplatsen till huset. Tillgång till National Forest vandringsleder ligger bara en kort bilresa bort. Det är ungefär en 2 mil promenad till där den första True Grit-filmen filmades. Den berömda Last Dollar Ranch ligger i närheten, och vårt hus är verkligen bekvämt för många av höjdpunkterna i sydvästra Colorado såsom jeeping, varma källor, Gateway Auto Museum, Mesa Verde och Gunnison Black Canyon för att nämna några.

Huset är centralt beläget för enkel åtkomst till Last Dollar Road - ungefär halvvägs mellan Ouray och Telluride. Enkel 16 mil bilresa till Ridgway och en 23 mil bilresa till Telluride. Avståndet till både flygplatsen i Montrose och Telluride är cirka 40 miles.

A Lovely House in a Beautiful Setting

Relaxing!

Want to publicly thank Sarah for letting us stay at her home. We had a great time! Had everything we needed for our stay. Nice big windows to see the nice views of sunset and bright mornings. Our little one enjoyed all that patio space! We didn't get to see any deer or elk (sad) but we still enjoyed our stay. Sarah is an amazing host!

Serene stay near Mt. Sneffle

The surroundings are beautiful and the kitchen in particular is stocked with everything you could need. We were going to a mushroom festival in Telluride and this was a great location to come back to and decompress.

Perfect mountain retreat

This is one of the best places we have ever stayed. It had everything we needed to cook meals and enjoy the fabulous view from the back patio and from every window. We enjoyed 4 wheeling and hiking in the area but the best part was watching the aspens changing. Sarah and Don are really easy to communicate with. We look forward to staying here again!

Telluride Blues and Brews trip

We stayed at the Center property for 3 nights. The purpose of our trip was to see the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival. The property was amazing. The views were fantastic! We saw deer and elk. We also enjoyed the solitude and the Milky Way amongst the millions of stars at night. Would definitely stay here again.

The views from this place is unreal! Definitely make sure you make time to just hangout there and enjoy the view. Its so quiet too! We loved reading on the porch. Quiet Scenic Getaway

This home sits on a grassy Mesa at the base of the beautiful Sneffles range in the rugged southwestern corner of the Colorado mountains. Wonderful retreat

This property is the perfect place to get away, relax, and enjoy the beautiful mountain views. We love sitting on the porch, feeling the breeze, and enjoying the beautiful landscape. It is fun to walk around the property among the aspen trees too. The kitchen. bedrooms, bathroom, and laundry areas have everything you need for your stay. This is our second visit and we hope to return again.

Exceeded My Expectations

The view is stellar and pictures do not do it justice. We loved the snow capped mountains during the day and the stars at night. Aside from the views the house is extremely well stocked. There wasn't a thing we wanted for from super sharp, high quality knives (so rare in VRBOs) to a bountiful spice rack. Sarah was super helpful and accommodating. The house is remote but that made it so special and we just factored a drive into our plans. We loved the peace, quiet and all the wildlife. Thanks for sharing this great home.

Top Notch

Could not have asked for a better place to stay. The house was very inviting, clean, and well appointed. We didn’t need a thing. The views….words and photos aren’t enough to describe one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen. Lots of unobstructed views of prairie and mountains. Views of mule deer and elk nearly every day. Extremely enjoyable stay…didn’t want to leave.

Phenomenal view and wonderful stay!

Lovely home with incredible view of the mountains. We saw several animals nearby. We loved sitting on the patio. The home was very well stocked for cooking. They drive to the home is beautiful as well. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. To get to the room with twin beds, you walk through the other bedroom. Convenient location for visiting Telluride, Ridgway and Ouray. Our only disappointment was that we didn’t book it for longer. We would love to return!!

Peaceful, breathtaking view, great getaway!

Sarah is an amazingly personable host! It makes a difference when you get this kind of personal care and communication. Don and Sandy greeted us when we arrived. They were so very kind. And the place was immaculate. This property is very open and roomy for its sq footage. The view from all of the south windows was breathtaking! We enjoyed watching the deer and elk come through each morning and evening. It had everything we needed and Sarah’s book provided so much information, including hand drawn maps and drawings of the beautiful wild flowers. Lots of books, guides, maps to make sure guests see and do everything they want to in this area. We hope to visit this property again for fall colors sometime soon.

Spectacular stay near Telluride

My husband and I spent a wonderful week at Sarah’s absolutely adorable place. The house itself is beautifully designed and perfect for two people, no matter where it might be. But the setting makes it incomparable, with views of the Sneffels Range that you could watch change all day long (and we did!). The location is beautiful and remote, with an array of wildlife to watch during the day and myriad stars to gaze at night, but also quite convenient to Ridgway, Telluride and all the attractions of the San Juans. And I have never seen a better equipped kitchen in a rental property! In fact, every time we turned around, the thing we thought we could use - binoculars to watch the deer, a wine chiller for the patio table, or the right spice for dinner - was miraculously at hand! And finally, Don and Sandy we’re perfect caretakers on site - friendly and helpful when needed, but never in the way. Truly a perfect stay!

Spectacular mountain property

Sheila and I have been looking for that place in the mountains with a beautiful view where you’re away from everyone and we found that with Sarah’s place. We spent a lot of time on the patio just relaxing while the view of the mountains would change with a beautiful sunrise, to a bright afternoon, a red glow on the mountains at sunset, and then stars at night. Deer would walk through the property daily. Given the property is at 9,000 feet we had many clear nights to enjoy the stars, a bright full moon, and the Milky Way. On top of that the whole area has incredible views when you drive down the “Last Dollar Road”. There are also many other places to experience like the ski area of Telluride, town of Ridgeway, Ouray, off-road journeys by vehicle, biking, and hiking. I took my first ever Fly Fishing class with RIGS Fly Shop & Guide Service at Ridgeway and caught a rainbow, cutthroat, and brown trout. The property has all the amenities to enjoy your stay. From the start of making our reservation Sarah has been very attentive and caring to our needs. Sandy and Don met us at the property when we arrived and provided us an overview, also incredibly nice people. We will definitely be back to this amazing property for another stay.

Amazing Fall Getaway

This place is amazing, the pictures don’t do it justice. We were so amazed to have a view of the fall colors along the Dallas Divide all to ourselves. We felt that the house itself was roomier than the pictures on the listing showed. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. We would happily come stay here again!

While visiting for one of the festivals, we wandered through many pieces of property looking for just the right view with a local realtor. As we were leaving the area, we stopped to let the realtor know to call if anything came up on Last Dollar Road. Amazingly something had just come in that morning. When we walked through the woods on this property and saw this natural opening with this magical view we knew we had found our retirement property.
We built small cabin in 1993, and the house in 2004. I love being able to share the beauty of this view with other people.

There are 35 acres to walk around in. The open area where the house is located allows for a wonderful view. The neighbors say we have the best view in the area because of the artistic framing of the trees all around the building, and the wide view to the south. Honestly, we just fell in love. Almost everyone gets to see wildlife while they are visiting, which is always a treat.

One level house is great for couples and retirees (also great for people with disabilities that use a cane, or a walker). It is an open plan and you can see the mountains from large windows in each room. The master bedroom has a king sized bed. Additionally there are two twin beds in the back room. The property is located centrally to the four towns in the area: Ridgway, Ouray, Telluride and Montrose. Each of these towns has their own charm and attractions.
