This was our second year at Winter Park, both times staying within the Iron Horse units. This unit was better than our last one, in that the kitchen was updated. It's nice to be able to rent, store, and ski so conveniently. Overall, I'd recommend staying at this unit.We spent a little bit of time at the recreation center, which is nice to use when it's just too cold. The hot tubs were used daily by us, and this unit is a bit further from the community hot tub than some of us would have liked. We went into town once for dinner and ate at Winter Park for lunch most days. But, otherwise, we ate all of our meals at the unit for 5 days. There were sufficient pots/pans/utensils, though the Teflon pans were scratched up.We did have to contact the property manager a couple of times. They were friendly, though they did not respond right away as they said my voicemail somehow got missed. We had a friend spend the night one night, and they were sympathetic to the fact that there was only one parking space. Also, when the HOA had turned off the water for a few hours (30 min. more than their window), they did try and work on our behalf to get the water back on so that we could shower after skiing all day. As for value, I think it came out to about $400/night, which isn't outrageous for a 2 BR, 3 BA ski in/ski out, I think. It's certainly a bit dated, and my wife thought it was too dark. Overall, I would recommend the property.
