We thoroughly enjoyed are stay. The cottage was very comfortable, well equipped and clean. Frank and Kersi were great hosts. There are lovely walks around the grounds and down to the lake. Cong was quiet although I guess it will get busier as the season progresses. We look forward to a return visit.

We loved our stay in this beautifully renovated and decorated cottage! The bedrooms and bathrooms are particularly comfortable, with lashings of hot water and very effective central heating - used once when we had a chilly morning amongst the fabulous sunny days! Finola and John couldn't have been more helpful, from helping us out with carrying our cases upstairs to recommendations for day trips out from this great location!

Good trip

We have had a brilliant week reuniting with family in Ireland and the cottage has been an excellent base. After searching through many holiday cottages, this one stood out online and we were not disappointed. It is a beautiful mix of old and new. It was spotlessly clean and had many touches which we really appreciated such as white towels, plenty of quality hangers and wardrobe space and super comfy beds. We would highly recommend this cottage and we will definitely be back! Thank you Michael.

I have been using homeaway for a while now, staying in many cottages all through Europe. This cottage, in my opinion, is among the best I stayed in. AMAZING location on the banks of lough Carra, gorgeous and spacious house. Everything feels new and house felt homey and usable from the get go. Last but not least Thomas was a gracious host and accommodated all my various spam emails :) Would definitely return.

Stayed for 3 nights. Beautiful old lodge/cottage in quiet rural location. Easy drive to Galway City and surrounding towns. Lovely decor and furnishings, with everything needed for stay. Highly recommended, looking forward to visiting again.

Really enjoyed our stay at Cavan hill Cottage. Peacful and the scenery was beautiful. Great comfortable beds and very clean throughout. Had everything we need for our stay. Great hosts.
