  • A Home From Home!

"This was our second time staying at Mullins Bay House, we loved it so much the first time it was an easy decision to book the house again. There were 12 in our group, age range from 6 to 80 years old. The estate is brilliant for family groups, flexible accommodation, generous outside space with beautifully kept gardens and a large pool. The house is clean, comfortable and Andrew and Juanita looked after us very well. Mullins Bay House is a great base to explore the Island from. Everything is within easy reach, from the beautiful West coast beaches to the rugged and wild East coast. We highly recommend Calypso Cruises run by Nick & and his father Val Knowles. They offer several packages, there's a fantastic 5 hour lunch cruise where you can swim with turtles, snorkel and explore shipwrecks......with unlimited food and drink! A hit with both young and old. We also did the 3 hour sunset cruise this time which was fantastic too. There are a large and varied range of eateries to choose from on the Island but if you want to eat 'in' the local fish markets are great offering lovely fresh fish (and advise on how best to cook it) and the vegetable stalls by the roadside offer a huge variety of fresh local produce. So if you want a completely chilled out holiday lazing on the beach or by the pool with a rum punch in hand or a more active holiday exploring the Island, look no further. Thank you Simon and Sarah for opening up your house for us to enjoy...again!"

  • Amazing villa, amazing holiday - highly recommend!

"I would highly recommend this villa. Located in Gibbes Bay on the West Coast with a choice of 2 amazing beaches (Gibbes & Mullins) within walking distance, there's only positive things to say. The villa itself is large, bright and airy so plenty of room to really relax. It has a huge BBQ and all the facilities you need, so if you choose days to stay home you have everything there - not to mention a large tranquil garden and generous pool...air con (in the bedrooms) & wifi too! Paul (Fox) is at hand to help if you need, he made sure we had everything for our arrival (beer in the fridge) and gave us lots of local information, knowledge and recommendations. Gibbes is a lovely relaxed place with easy transport to 2 closest towns, we didn't really venture further than that as we had it all there - the best holiday, we'll DEFINITELY be back!"

  • Perfect villa

"We were two couples traveling together. This villa was perfect for that. We could easily walk to the beach, while others stayed behind enjoying the pool and grounds. . Mullins beach is the closest beach, but a short walk on the beach takes you to quiet and serene Gibbs Bay. That was our favorite. At the end of Mullins road we stopped at a food truck to pick up a delicious lunch. Andrew could not have been more helpful, and we did take advantage of his cooking, which was also wonderful and so nice to eat overlooking the pool. Claudette also was very helpful and graciously responded to all of our requests. The house was as advertised, Simon and Sarah responded to all of my questions quickly. We highly recommend it. Barbados is easy to get around, people are friendly, there's lots to see and do(gardens, caves, churches, rum, pottery workshops, sailing, ) and you can't beat the weather. One night we had dinner at Bombas Restaurant, right on the beach and an easy walk or drive. The food was really good. And you can buy beautiful African jewelry as well.."

  • Very close to the beach, lovely Bajan hospitality

"We had a great time at Spindrift. We loved seeing monkeys in the front yard, walking to the beach, and sitting outside. The villa is very well thought out, and we all had space. The kitchen is well equipped and we cooked at least one meal a day at the house. We loved having the outdoor tap to rinse our feet of sand, and the long clothesline outside so we could dry our bathing suits. We ended up not using the air conditioning in all of the bedrooms each night as the ceiling fans were sufficient. There is a bit of road noise in the master bedroom, so we preferred the other rooms. Janeta, the housekeeper was extremely kind and helpful. She even guided us to the grocery store and to a restaurant, and helped us park our car! Enjoy being in Barbados, and be sure to check out the vans that sell food in the streets (there was one not far from the beach, just up a side street each morning). We loved eating Bajan breakfast food."
