  • Hidden Gem!

"An absolute hidden gem nestled in a very well put together subdivision. Centrally located right between Jaco & Quepos - either direction you go there's tons to do and see - scenic views galore! Everywhere you look - looks like a Microsoft Screen Saver. Weather for the middle of June was ideal! Much better than our weather in South Florida! Jaco Beach - Rainmaker Park - Manuel Antonio are a must see. This house is perfect! Thank you Oskar - Arlene & Greg!"

  • Right on the beach! Quiet town, Esterillos Centro.

"This is a small, simple beach house that is right on the beach in a pretty quiet area. You have a small dirt road to cross and you are right on the sand. The price is excellent for basically having the beach to yourself. The neighbor and the neighborhood have quite a few free roaming dogs so if you are not an animal lover, you may want to look elsewhere (then again nearby towns also have free roaming dogs!) =D. We went during August so the ocean was quite mixed up. However, right in front of the hotel nearby is considered a good surf spot. The spot right in front of the house is pretty good for swimming but I recommend bringing boogie fins because of the strong currents. There were boogie boards available when we stayed, which was quite nice. We rented longboards from Brett in Esterillos Oeste (also a good surf spot), nice guy. The hotel/restaurant within walking distance has a pool table and great food. First time trying snook/robalo! House is not too far of a drive from Jacó or Manuel Antonio. Some advice: I highly recommend bringing good mosquito repellant. Also, you are very close to an estuary which is nice to walk through. Pamela and Claudette are very pleasant to talk to. Thanks again."

  • Fabulous

"Gosh, we had a spectacular time at Mermaid View Villa! Everything about it was simply perfect - the home is incredibly beautiful, inviting, and relaxing. We lounged in the pool a lot and took strolls on the beach! And we didn't mind cooking or doing dishes with such a gorgeous view! We saw toucans, macaws, and had daily visits from the friendly iguana! The location was perfect -- it gave us a sense of life in Costa Rica. And we had beautiful adventures nearby - Rainmaker, Manuel Antonio, zip lining, and surfing! Brett, at the local surfing instructor, got our seven-year old son up on his first try. He loved it. We all loved it! The only problem with it was that we had to leave!! Many, many thanks to Brenda and Desirae for being excellent hosts. We hope to return someday!"
