  • Convenient Location, Great Value!

"This flat is centrally located in London and is within walking distance of many of the major tourist attractions throughout London (we walked a loop from the flat to Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Globe Theatre and back to the flat over a day quite enjoyably). In addition, the flat is very conveniently located close to 3 London Underground Stations (St. Pauls - 7 minutes, Farringdon - 5 minutes, Barbican - 3 minutes). I recommend during the week to use Barbican, it seemed to us a little less congested versus the others. There are numerous restaurants, pubs and a grocery store all within less than a 5 minute walk as well. I would caution that since this area is predominantly commercial, I noticed many of the restaurants cater to a business crowd so quite a few of them were closed (or closed early) on Saturday & Sunday. You are immediately across the street from Smithfield Market which is a massive, wholesale butcher market (which you can visit - go before 8 AM, it's really interesting). As a result, trucks are constantly loading/unloading from about 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM on the street below, but the windows are pretty well insulated and the noise isn't too bad. Our group consisted of 2 adults and 3 teenage children, and the flat layout was perfect for our family. Communication with the owner was exceptionally thorough, the explanation of the facilities, transportation, etc. was one of the most thorough I've ever received from a VRBO owner! I would definitely recommend this flat for a family or small group of adults. With a lift in the apartment, it would also be very suitable for older guests as well. In talking with other tourists I met on our travels, I concluded that this area is probably one of the most convenient in London for tourists. Not touristy, but very convenient to all of those attractions. You see a bit more of "real" London this way. I would not hesitate to rent this flat again!"

  • Great Location, but noisy.

"You will feel the tube a step it passes underground when you are in the apartment. Also, here is construction ongoing next door so you will hear that from time-to-time. The internet had functionality issues and did not work he first night I was there. It gives ally worked after resetting multiple times, but still had connectivity issues throughout the stay. There were about tree light bulbs that were out, but beyond that the apartment was very close to restaurants (in the same building) and near the tube. Very helpful owner. Would stay again, but the internet needs to be more reliable."

  • Great flat in a great location

"This 1 bedroom flat was perfect for our family of 4 adults and was very accessible to the Tube and local attractions. The flat was very well kept and the host was extremely responsive. The caretaker met us upon arrival and even had milk, juice, and bread left for us to enjoy. I highly recommend this flat for your stay in London. Right around the corner from the Tower Hill tube station which made it very easy to get around all of London."

  • Perfect Location, Great Apartment

"My husband and I (in our 50's) found this apartment to be perfectly located and quite comfortable. From here you can explore east and west on foot to get a good feeling for the twisty/windy streets and all of the historic churches. The underground is also within easy walking distance, allowing exploration of parts further out as well as easy access from/to Heathrow and Gatwick. It was marvelous to wake up Sunday morning to the bells of St. Paul's Cathedral. We didn't do any heavy cooking as there were so many restaurants nearby, but the kitchen was nice. The apartment was immaculately clean. The location is also quiet at night. Be aware that many restaurants in this part of town close on Sat/Sun, so plan accordingly. The Millenium Bridge is right nearby so accessing the other side of the Thames is quite easy from here as well. Thanks, Juan, for making this apartment available to travelers and for making our stay so nice and easy."
