  • Fantastic property in all respects A+++

"We stayed for 6 nights with 2 families, including some young children. The house is in an amazing location and very comfortable. It has most everything you will need for a great trip. We especially liked being nearby Punta Coco, a great beach on the very west side of the island. There was almost no one there and the kids loved seeing starfish, conch, crabs, fish, horseshoe crabs, and stingrays in the shallow waters. Silvia came everyday and cleaned up and addressed any small issues we might have. I suggest renting a golf cart to make getting to town and back easier, and arranging a drop off/pick up directly in front of the house by a private ferry. The owner, Gonzalo, is very responsive and helpful. 5+++ stars."

  • Heaven on Holbox Island - 5 Stars

"We rented Casa Darya for a week and fell in love with Casa Darya and Holbox Island. Owner Megan is very responsive and a good listener. Megan and her neighbor are in the process of finalizing property and guest management details - all of which worked out fine during our visit. As advertised, the home is situated right on the beach. It is one of the best feelings in the world to listen to the sea at night and walk straight out into the sea in the morning to swim. The property is fabulously located, a short walk from restaurants, town and the best sunset watching tiki bar in the world - Zomay Hotel. Casa Darya is a three bedroom attached condo. The Master Bedroom has a beautiful sea view. The closets are plentiful and there is a small safe for passports etc. in the Master Closet area. The other two bedrooms are beautifully appointed, simple and very comfortable. AC in the house and each bedroom is excellent !!!!! The kitchen comes well stocked with silverware, cookware, pots and pans. We did cook in a couple of times but the restaurant choices on the beach and in Holbox town are reasonably priced and really excellent. The quality of the food is surprisingly good on Holbox Island. We loved lunch at Villa Flamenco's and enjoyed excellent dinners in several of the towns restaurants, including the very progressive Restaurante Milpa. We walked for miles each day along the beach and found new places to stop and explore every day. Holbox is a throwback in time in that the Islanders and visitors seem to happily co-exist with a minimum of fuss or bother. Casa Darya is blessed with a very resourceful House Manager - Chuy. I suspect that Chuy can arrange anything............. He arranged a fabulous day fishing trip for six people. We snorkeled, caught fish and ate ceviche made from the freshly could fish. More heaven !! Holbox is relatively raw and undeveloped. It reminds us of Akumal in 1985. We hated leaving.... Go now !! More info - Getting there........... We flew into Cancun, rented a car and drove two hours to the Holbox Ferry. Long term Parking in the parking lots by the Ferry is very reasonable. When you get off the Ferry, you take a golf cart taxi to the Casa - max three passengers. When we return to Holbox, we will book a small plane for a 20 minute flight from Cancun directly into Holbox. There are several small charter plane services that cost around $450 - $550 for 5 passengers. Last, take pesos. There is only one ATM on the Island."

  • Perfect location

"What a wonderful location and wonderful people. Susana was great to deal with and so helpful. The location is the best and Los Cocos was all that I hoped for. The outside shower was my favorite. We used the bikes everyday. I would love to stay here again but it fills up so quickly. James the property owner was wonderful to work with and very helpful."

  • we spent 5 days in casa cereza with 2 young kids

"great experience. the beach is just beautiful, great for kids. the apartment is perfect and very clean. we were able to eat at night indoors. to go to town you have a nice walk on beach. Sabine also has a café downstairs which is very good, and fresh. We defiantly encourage families to go there. Sabine was nice to organize the taxis to come from Cancun back to Valladolid."
