  • Wonderful Family Vacation!!

"Our family vacation was spent at Villa Mercedes 2 for four weeks this spring (Feb-Mar) and we thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience! Right from our first contact to the last our experience with Tony was exceptional; he was very friendly, professional, and helpful and was prompt to respond! The very large home was exactly as pictured with an extra set of clean bedding & towels for each guest. When you walk into the home you can see straight through to the pool, palm trees, white sandy beach, and right through to the Gulf of Mexico, it was very beautiful! The village of Chicxulub was exactly what we were hoping for, ‘Old Mexico’, not commercialized at all!! We found a few good restaurants in the village and also in Progreso which was only a 7 minute drive away or just buy fish from a local fisherman or fresh prawns from the gentlemen who stopped by the house ever couple days and cook in your own kitchen! At the north end of Merida there is a Costco for those who like to stock up, perishables can easily be purchased in either Chicxulub or Progreso. Apparently, there is over 5000 Cenotes in the area, a definite must to take in a few if you are in the Yucatan, they are breathtaking! Along with a tour of at least one of the ancient Mayan ruins, absolutely incredible! Visiting Merida & Uman along with eating fresh coconuts poolside were additional highlights of our trip! All in all a Great Vacation slowing down, enjoying the sun, sand and water! We hope to return again in the future!! Thank you again Tony for sharing our families vacation home with us!"

  • Lovely Vacation Beach House

"We stayed in this beach house for three weeks, and had a great vacation. The roof top was fantastic for sun bathing and catching a breeze, listening to music, watching ships go by, watching the fishermen, watching birds, watching sunsets, watching stars. The beach was a thrill for seashell picking, what a wonderful selection! We felt so at home and so comfortable it was actually hard to leave! Even though the property manager doesn't live in Chelem, she did a great job of taking care of things for us(thanks Ivonne, you were awesome). The day we arrived Ivonne the property manager asked us if we had eaten yet and when we said no, she took us to a fantastic local restaurant La Terracita just a short ways from the house. I would recommend this house to others, I would also stay here again. The only thing we thought we might look for next time is a house with a pool, but only because the Norte's made it difficult to go in the water and apparently this has been an unusual year for so many Norte's. We found the beds hard to get used to, but after a week we adjusted. We love the local people, and also the next door neighbors Theresa and Bill are super wonderful:)"

  • Great Time

"Myself and a group of friends stayed at Casa Flora for several days. The house is great as it provides very accommodating space for non family members. In some regards each bedroom is a suite. The patios provide inviting outside space, both upstairs and at ground level. The interior pool was fun, spending time having a drink and talking. Location was tremendous. We were close enough to al centro to walk as we wished. Merida is a wonderful time. The street Casa Flora is on was quiet and safe. We had the fortune of being there for the New Year and the celebration was excellent. We also used it as a starting point for several side trips, Progresso, Mayapan, Mayan ruins. Also saw (hesitantly) a bull fight. The staff that greeted us was excellent, the house was clean and the kitchen could have provided easy meal preparation, although we did not take advantage of this. All services were wonderful. Barbara, the owner, was prompt in answering any questions we had before making final reservation. We strongly recommend Casa Flora for anyone's visit to Merida."
