One of the best places we have ever stayed at. So well thought out, even different coloured towels for each guest! The outside space and gardens are wonderful. The views amazing. Owner really welcoming and really cared about our experience. It was an absolute pleasure to return to after exploring the area. Beds really comfortable (loved the bird pattern bedding). 100% chance of us rebooking.

Lovely stay in lovely countryside

Cheddar and the surrounding area is such a lovely part of the country and the Gatehouse matched that. The bed was large and very comfortable, the lounge perfect for snuggling away the evenings and the shower particuarly good! Parking also could not have been easier. Do note though, a lot of the roads in the area are narrow and twisty without footpaths so a small car is preferable and beware when walking them.

Fantastic Getaway

The Shepherds Nest is the best Shepherds Hut we’ve stayed in, for space, amenities and for hospitality. It’s well built, furnished to a high standard and there’s a lot of thought gone into everything. Charlie and Carol were really welcoming and there were lots of little touches, and nice surprises on our arrival. The outside bath is great, in all weathers! We’d highly recommend.
