  • Return to the Buffalo

"We used to live in AR and wanted to return to float the Buffalo. The closer you get to the River, the more crowded and loud it is. This house was up the road and provided the tranquility and peacefulness we were seeking. House has a well stocked kitchen, it is very clean, lovely deck in the back. The bonus was having AC, especially when we arrived, the house was cool. The bedroom downstairs contains the stairs that lead to the upstairs sleeping quarters, which wasn't very private, but was fine."

  • Just perfect!

"This cabin was exactly what we would imagine as our "home away from home". From the décor, to the layout, to the outdoor spaces, and the amenities, it is just perfect. Each of us had our favorite space, or favorite feature. I enjoyed sitting on the back deck with a cup of coffee. My husband enjoyed watching football on the front porch, with the fire pit and a beverage. Our kids loved the loft and the swings, in addition to the location and the hiking adventures. The beds were all so comfortable, even the kids commented on them! Everything was very clean and looked brand new, definitely well taken care of! I loved that there were even kids' cups, because that's a big deal for parents of little ones! The location is amazing. Close enough to town to grab necessities or a bite to eat, and just off the beaten path enough to feel secluded. The hiking path to the river was great! It was amazing to be able to get down to the riverbank and get a different perspective. We found one of the caves on the property, and that was really neat for all of us! We really appreciated all of the notes and suggestions on activities in the area, and while we couldn't fit all of them into our visit, we know what we need to pencil in for next time! We did make it to Mystic Caverns, which the kids thought was really neat. We also went into Jasper and had lunch at the Ozark Café. Two great suggestions! I wish we could have gone hiking on a trail with a waterfall, but that's for next time. I really cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was. We can't wait to come back!"

  • Buck Lane Lodge review

"We visited the region to celebrate with family who live in Harrison. Five adults and one child were comfortably accommodated. The lodge is easy to get to and we had no problem finding it. It is only a few minutes from the town. The lodge is well equipped and suitable for a multi-night stay. The kitchen is excellent with a high-end gas burning stove. We enjoyed preparing a few meals with the well-stocked kitchen. The weather was extremely cold but the cabin remained very comfortable. Overall, we had a great stay and would certainly consider again in the future."

  • Totally private and wonderfully secluded cabin with everything we needed and more!

"My wife and I chose The Shed for a private weekend getaway late this fall and it was a wonderful experience. Our host was polite and absolutely accommodating, the cabin was warm and inviting, the privacy and seclusion was unmatched, and the experience was refreshing. We were up early enough to see the wild deer and turkey and even went fishing in the creek on the property. The Shed had everything we needed and more for keeping ourselves entertained - even so, Harrison and Mountain Home are short drives away if you need something to do or somewhere to eat. Branson is also close enough to enjoy as well. There is plenty to do in the area in the way of hiking, fishing, boating, kayaking, and hunting here. This property is perfect for a couple wanting to just get away, old friends looking to catch up, or a small family hoping to reconnect. I would definitely recommend The Shed to anyone anticipating a refreshing stay away from home!"
