  • Wonderful Stay

"Katie was a lovely and responsive hostess who communicated all pertinent details of the trip promptly. The cabin was comfortable, fully equipped, and was a perfect place to stay! We spent time looking at the hundreds of stars at night that aren't visible in the city at night, and made smores in the fireplace in the cozy living room. We made dinner in the kitchen, had a cookout on the deck, and the dogs had a blast as well! This listing is great for a get away, would highly recommend this cabin, and a huge thank you to Katie for making our stay possible :)"

  • Great family mountain home!

"This is a great family cabin with plenty of space and everything you need to have a relaxing time. We were welcomed by a basket of hot chocolate and ingredients for s'mores, plus coffee and tea for the morning! We had four adults and a gaggle of kids and there was ample and comfortable room for everyone! Inside the house were lots of games, movies, and books to keep the kids happy, and outside they had space to run around and throw the football or baseball, or go for a walk through the area. The place is close to some great hikes, lookouts, and swimming holes without hordes of tourists. The owners are very nice and responsive to inquiries, but really they have thought of everything up there! (from First Aid to firewood!) There's no cell service or WiFi, but there are walkie talkies (which are fun!), a landline, and a restaurant up the road that has WiFi and a great happy hour on Thursday nights ;-) The whole community is friendly and helpful. We hope to check it out again in the winter time! Thank you John and Chastity for sharing your place!"

  • Picture perfect home with the best views

"We stayed at the Ranch Getaway the weekend of MLK with my family and friends. The home is exactly as described and better. We have a 15 month old baby, and it was great to let him roam around the plush carpet in the family room and master bedroom. All the rooms are neatly organized, with fresh clean linens. Even though we took our own toiletries, the bathrooms were nicely stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash which I thought was great. The best part of this home, are the views from every window! It is so relaxing to just look out into all the orange groves, and property while cooking meals in the kitchen. The dining room accommodated our large party, and it was nice to eat dinner as a group. Our last day here we picked oranges from the trees, and they were delicious! Lastly, it was great to have our pets with us. They enjoyed running all over the property, and exploring the grounds. I hope to return to this beautiful and peaceful home in the summer. Thank you Steve for a wonderful experience and stay in your home!"

  • Hit It OnThe Nose

"My family, friends and I stayed in this house for 4 days and 3 nights. We never wanted for anything. Completely stocked kitchen to cook in, while looking out at your guests enjoying the beautiful sky, mountains and yes the cows, horses and goats in a ranch near by. The game room was downstairs so those who went to bed early never heard the pool table in the wee hours. The Jacuzzi was HOT, the pool was cool. Plenty of beds for the 6 of us and did notice more to pull out up and down stairs. The Sequoias are up the highway on a beautiful drive If you are into staying indoors there is plenty to do there as well. I can tell you we will return time and time again. For we love the Apple Festival, Rodeo and SciCon BBQ. I appreciate the sharing of this wonderful house, it went way beyond my imagination. Thank you for a wonderful vacation."
