  • Heaven

"This Hamilton Cove Condo is absolutely Heaven. The complex itself is beautiful and well maintained and reminds one of being somewhere in Europe, Greece, Italy. The unit carries this even further with Mediterranean colors, furnishings and accoutrements. The upstairs and downstairs are very privately separated such that you can't even hear the others TV. We stayed five nights with two couples and could be together or be apart with ease. The kitchen is well equipped and allowed us to BBQ and cook breakfast and dinners. The balconies are awesome and best was the view!!! We would reccomend this condo to anyone!"

  • Great little spot in Avalon

"My wife and I stayed here for a cozy Saturday evening with our 20lb terrier. The house was easy to find, simple to check into, and a great home base for our Catalina overnighter. I found myself lost in the house's character, so many cool antiques (most of which we're in working condition) and decorations. You know that good times have been had in this spot! The location relative to town is just simply awesome. It's less than a 2 minute walk to the beach and the main street of Avalon. It's definitely an older house, so just know that going in and don't have an unrealistic expectation. Things to know: Heat/AC units. It was either WAY to hot or freezing cold (due to user/operator error), The pilot light on the gas heater went out after about 15 mins of use, The house is on a "main road" of Catalina so it can be noisy with the golf carts and people walking by. The island is in severe drought conditions, so bring your own water (or pay $0.50 for cheap water bottles at restaurants) There's 1 bathroom, which served our needs more than fine All in all, the house was fantastic and we would certainly stay again. Definitely was enough room for 2 adults and a dog... would have been even nicer with another couple to maximize the house's space. Booking the home was super easy. Michael Ponce (the property manager) was super responsive, adaptive and flexible to our schedule change. Total pro. Would be glad to work (and rent from) with him again. Thanks Michael!"

  • Cute little bungalow with porch. Great location.

"Cozy little bungalow with queen bed and futon couch in living room, just enough space for the queen bed and night stand in bedroom and a small dining set just off the kitchen. Kitchen has most of what you need to cook a small meal. My daughter and 2 friends stayed and had a great time."

  • Awesome View! Private and Relaxing.

"This unit is our favorite Hamilton Cove condo. My wife and I live in Long Beach just a short boat ride away so we try to get over to Catalina three or four times a year. Although the island is close to home it definitely has a more relaxed atmosphere and feel to it. Great for extended weekend trips. Hamilton Cove itself is outside of town and is a gated community so it’s not so touristy busy. In fact, in the off-season is downright quiet. It’s built into the hillside and is like Mediterranean villas. We have stayed in a number of the other Hamilton Cove condos, but we always try to come back to this one. The view is breathtaking, not to high up and not too low down. You can see the ocean from every room. There are two French double doors from the living room and the alcove that go out onto the balcony. There is also a door from the master bedroom that leads out to the balcony. We always throw open all the doors as soon as we arrive so the balcony becomes part of living space. This condo is an end unit and we very rarely ever see anybody on the balcony next to it, so it has a very private feel even with all the doors open. Also, as an end unit there is a second small private patio (with a barbecue). This one has a fireplace which we didn’t get in most of the other condos. We noticed that the kitchen appliances and living room furniture were recently upgraded. The kitchen is outfitted well for cooking. One of the best things about this unit is the number of stairs. Hamilton Cove doesn’t have elevators. Some of the condos are literally 100 stairs away from the road. Carrying luggage and groceries up or down 100 stairs gets old fast. This unit only has four stairs (4!) to the road and is only about 20 yards to where the golf cart is parked. The golf cart use is included in the rental. This unit’s golf cart is much newer than most and even has a car stereo in it. It seats four so the trips to and from town are pretty comfortable."
