  • Perfect for us!

"My husband and I spent a month here this summer and hated to leave. For one week of the rental, our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter were with us. The house worked equally well in both cases. The house is beautiful, comfortable and very clean. It is equipped with everything we needed and more. The location is great! We could easily walk to the bayside beach, the market and to restaurants. Actually, we walked everywhere except the golf course. The yard/garden was a wonderful place to relax and spend time. I guess the most telling comment is that we reserved for next summer before we left. We can't wait to be back here!"

  • Hope to be back soon!

"We had 2 families stay for a week, such a great time, fantastic space, secure garage for vehicle and gear storage, really nice hang out space for everyone and simple logistics with pool, hot tub, beach all right there, walk to everything downtown, thank you for a great vacation! Saw some whales from the pool deck. We hope to be back soon."

  • Great bayside location!

"Beautiful unit, nicely decorated, very comfortable for our family of 4, with an additional 4 dinner guests. Garage was unusable for parking- Toyota Camry was too long to be able to close the door. Bathtub in master bath also unusable due to peeling finish on the tub surface. Otherwise, everything was clean and well maintained. Kitchen is set up with the most basic cooking tools, but we mostly ate out so it wasn't a problem. Lovely views of the bay- perfect to sit at the patio table and people watch. Property manager was very helpful and responsive. Walking distance to several good restaurants."

  • Beautiful Cottage in Ideal Location

"We stayed for 5 nights with our two college-age boys and their girlfriends. The home is beautifully decorated and the location is in a quite neighborhood. Down the street two blocks (about a 2 min walk) are many good restaurants and coffee shops (both casual & fine dining). We enjoyed Shorehouse Kitchen for breakfast on several days. There are a number of nice outdoor cafes that are open late. The walk to the beach is another three blocks away. We walked to the beach every day we stayed. The rental house is located behind the owner's residence. There is a private walkway back to the house. Tall fences between the two homes help give the rental a very private feeling. There is a nice patio off the master and another patio with an outdoor table and BBQ. The interior of the home is very comfortable with new contemporary furnishings that provide a welcoming "beach cottage" feeling. The kitchen is well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. The house is air conditioned. The spacing of the bedrooms rooms gave everyone privacy. Although the home is not large, the layout worked very well for all of us and we never felt crowded. The two bathrooms each have a shower. Bring your own soap & shampoo. There were boogie boards and beach toys available to borrow, a small cart to haul toys to the beach, and plenty of beach towels available for use. A washer and dryer was handy for laundry. There is onsite parking for one vehicle, although we found that it was just as easy to park on the street. The La Jolla Shores beach is ideal, as it has long gentle rolling waves that make it easy to boogie board. The beach is long and not terribly crowded. There are many kayak and surfing vendors within walking distance if you choose to try that out. We made several trips to the La Jolla village area, which has a lot of high end shopping, restaurants, and the famous La Jolla Cove. The village is only 2-3 minutes away by car, but one could walk or bike there too. All in all, we had a great stay and were very pleased to have found this home."
