  • Fantastic Family Beach House

"This house is perfect for family gatherings. We had six adults and three boys ranging from 3 to 9 years old. There was enough space for everyone to have privacy and a great room to gather as a family. The two outdoor patios were terrific. Every night we watched the sunset from the top balcony-each of us using comfortable patio furniture. Each bedroom had a tv which allowed for happy politicos and the sports junkies. The little guys could also watch their cartoons. We have rented five different beach houses; this was my favorite. I also appreciated a complete kitchen with enough pots, pans, and appliances to cook meals for our large group. The garage had beach toys, towels, chairs, boards, and anything you might want. There was plenty of room to park our cars and have friends over with their cars. The beach itself was terrific, not as congested and busy as Mission and Pacific Beaches. We were also close enough to other activities. This house will definitely be on our list for our yearly family beach get aways. I appreciated the responsiveness of the agent. We had minor issues regarding the missing garage door opener and remote for one television. Brant was there in no time taking care of us. Great house and great management!! Thank you!!!"

  • Great Home

"My family rented this home in February for a family vacation. We had 7 adults and 2 small children and found the home to be everything and more than we had hoped for. We were very comfortable at all times and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. This home is centrally located to many attractions (beach, aquarium, glider park, LaJolla Cove, stores) and only a short drive from Old Town, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, and the airport. There was also ample room for our three vehicles. We were pleasantly surprised to find sand toys, a wagon, beach towels, and beach chairs all available for our use. Our property manager, Brant, was very easy to work with and answered all my emails promptly. I would certainly rent this lovely home again. Thank you!"

  • Beautiful Cottage in Ideal Location

"We stayed for 5 nights with our two college-age boys and their girlfriends. The home is beautifully decorated and the location is in a quite neighborhood. Down the street two blocks (about a 2 min walk) are many good restaurants and coffee shops (both casual & fine dining). We enjoyed Shorehouse Kitchen for breakfast on several days. There are a number of nice outdoor cafes that are open late. The walk to the beach is another three blocks away. We walked to the beach every day we stayed. The rental house is located behind the owner's residence. There is a private walkway back to the house. Tall fences between the two homes help give the rental a very private feeling. There is a nice patio off the master and another patio with an outdoor table and BBQ. The interior of the home is very comfortable with new contemporary furnishings that provide a welcoming "beach cottage" feeling. The kitchen is well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. The house is air conditioned. The spacing of the bedrooms rooms gave everyone privacy. Although the home is not large, the layout worked very well for all of us and we never felt crowded. The two bathrooms each have a shower. Bring your own soap & shampoo. There were boogie boards and beach toys available to borrow, a small cart to haul toys to the beach, and plenty of beach towels available for use. A washer and dryer was handy for laundry. There is onsite parking for one vehicle, although we found that it was just as easy to park on the street. The La Jolla Shores beach is ideal, as it has long gentle rolling waves that make it easy to boogie board. The beach is long and not terribly crowded. There are many kayak and surfing vendors within walking distance if you choose to try that out. We made several trips to the La Jolla village area, which has a lot of high end shopping, restaurants, and the famous La Jolla Cove. The village is only 2-3 minutes away by car, but one could walk or bike there too. All in all, we had a great stay and were very pleased to have found this home."
