  • The property was amazing!

"My family of 4 stayed in this one bedroom unit for a week. The location was great. We had very close access to the beach, pool, and rec room area. The unit itself was very well maintained and Tim, the owner, was very quick to respond to any and all of my questions. Everyone who worked at the condo complex were very nice and helpful. It was about a 10 minute walk up the coast to the pier and about another 5 minutes to downtown Oceanside. I would have easily stayed another week if I could."

  • Beautiful and Convenient-Great for CSU-SM Parents!

"We rented this property for almost a week, and start to finish, it has been amazing. From booking the property and Sandra's help (see specifics to follow), to the last night where we hosted 10 for a dinner party with my twins' roommates (yes, IN the condo!), it has been one of the best vacations we have ever had. The furnishings are wonderfully appointed (better than the pics). Everything was very clean and well cared for. The kitchen is stocked to the hilt. I cooked and baked all day on our last day, and needed for nothing except groceries. The beach towels/equipment are plentiful, and the space in the condo is something that is rare in a property of this type. The upstairs suite is very spacious, and affords a beautiful deck with a dining table for 6. (Note: Though upstairs from the rest of the unit, there is no physical door. This wasn't a problem for me, but I could see how it might be for others). The downstairs bedroom doesn't have a TV, but has a queen and double bed. This was very convenient for my 3 older kids. Sandra Jancic (the PM for this unit) is one of the most helpful I have experienced. Not only was she flexible with many aspects of the rental process, but also very helpful with suggestions as to how best to spend our time here. Once she understood our goals, she offered A LOT of ideas that actually made our stay more pleasant. On top of this, I received an email from her in the middle of our trip with a suggestion for an activity that didn't have anything to do with the property and for which she would receive no benefit. That really impressed me. North Coast Village is a lovely property with 2 pools, game rooms, a 2 minute walk to the beach, gorgeous ocean views, and friendly people. We did not notice very much nighttime noise. There is a rail route close to the property, but it didn't really bother us. (Other reviews to the contrary, I feel, are widely exaggerated.) NEGATIVES: HOA staff is not very friendly and almost unhelpful on purpose, but you literally only need to deal with them for check in/check out (they deserve no stars). It's a little confusing at checkin, but we figured it out and all was well. There is also apparently a grumpy neighbor, which we were warned about, but I left cookies and a note at their unit and they didn't make a fuss (THIS IS A GOOD SUGGESTION FOR ALL!) SUGGESTIONS: Coffee and creamer/sugar (always a nice touch); cooling rack (the only kitchen supply not in the kitchen)."
