  • Amazing!

"We had a wonderful time at Dill n' Thyme . What a vacation. The house was perfect. Very clean and comfortable. The walk to the beach was not bad. The views of the beach were great! We can't wait to go back!"

  • The Perfect Getaway!

"Booking a VRBO sometimes feels like a gamble - will the home be as great as it appears in the photos? Will it be comfortable and clean? That's why my guests and I were so excited when we showed up to find that 'A Shore Thing' greatly exceeded our expectations. It really felt like we were staying in a friend's home for the weekend. It was very clean and welcoming, and overall just a wonderful location/venue for a truly relaxing weekend. Some of our favorite highlights: - Everyone woke up the first morning raving about how comfortable the beds were (mattresses and bedding)! - The layout of the kitchen/dining room makes it a great space to entertain and be together while some folks are cooking. - The hot tub on the patio was a crowd pleaser - immaculately clean and very relaxing. We really liked the fact that the property was just a short drive (~30 minutes) to great vineyards and tasting rooms, but far enough away from the popular areas of Sonoma to feel like we were secluded. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family, and I truly hope I'll have the opportunity to stay again in the future! Chad was a pleasure to work with and was always quick to reply to my questions leading up to our stay."

  • Fantastic Family Vacation !!! Dillon Beach View House has it all !!!

"We came to California for a family wedding, and we were looking for a large house to accommodate our family. We were 7 adults and 3 children, ages 5, 3,and 1 years old. We had PLENTY of space. The house is spectacular. The pictures on the VRBO website are all accurate but cannot do it justice. You have to experience it to believe it. The views are amazing from every room--from the moment you wake up until the sunsets, and then you have the spectacular night sky with the hundreds of stars to enjoy. The house was very clean ,and was tested out by my crawling grandson , pants were clean after going from room to room not wanting to miss out on anything. There were so many special touches that made the home so unique. The craftsmanship of the woodwork and moldings in the house; the beautiful stained glass pieces and artwork throughout, even on the butler's pantry; the stonework on the fireplace; the lighting elements ; sink fixtures; nautical decorations throughout--the beauty was all in the extra details. Of course, the beds were very comfortable, the kids loved the bunkroom ( they got a little warm at night but the owners provided fans which worked perfectly );the kitchen was clean and very well stocked with all the necessities plus extras. The large dinning room table allowed us to share every meal together, and after a busy, fun day we could then all hang out together either upstairs or downstairs in the large gathering areas. We played games( we brought some, but there were some there); watched movies ( again supplied by the owners), and just sat around catching up. The house is very well located for everything we wanted to do. About 1 hour to 1 1/4 hour or so to Napa Valley and Sonoma; San Francisco( take the ferry from Sausilito - a beautiful area, great views, and no city parking hassles).;Armstrong Park with the Redwoods. But, don't forget the beach!!! Beautiful, and clean-- directly down the block is a narrow path to the beach, or just walk down Oceana Drive a bit and you're right there. The owners provided beach chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys for our use; again all the special details made us feel we were in our own home . The garage was large and clean, and when the cars aren't in, you can have a fun ping pong tournament on a full size table, as well as play foosball or pool on smaller tables. The property manager was very easy to correspond with; very attentive and very quick in responding to all our questions. Thank you, again."

  • Another Lovely Thanksgiving at Dillon Beach

"This was our third stay at the Sea Captain. The house is very dog friendly, with old hardwood floors and a few area rugs. Everything is very clean. The kitchen is well-stocked for cooking: there are literally dozens of sharp knives, many skillets and pots and pans, and all of the standard large and small appliances. The house does not have a dishwasher, but neither does our own home. We cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner here without a problem. There is both a deck with chairs out front, up half a flight of stairs, as well as a private deck out back. Both have short fences; the back one is also gated. There is no internet at the house, and my AT&T cell didn't get any reception there, but that is solved by walking up to the 1st few houses on the road to the beach (literally facing the beach) -- reception kicks in there. The best part of the house (besides the cleanliness, decks, and quiet location) is that it is literally only a few minutes on foot from the beach. If you're renting a house in Dillon Beach, you want to be in the village, NOT way up the hill, which requires driving to the beach and paying a daily fee. We will be returning for Christmas 2015 and also plan to return a few times in 2016."
