  • Cozy Cottage

"We loved our stay in this cottage! The setting is spectacular with access to hiking trails just down the street. The place is super clean and the owners were very accomodating and best of all, pet friendly!"

  • Tranquil Beauty

"This was a phenomenal place to spend 4 days with a best friend, both of us whom are exhausted from our daily lives. The living room looks directly out over the Bay and has a beautiful fireplace. Both bedrooms also have a bay view and the queen sized beds were both very comfortable. The Weber gas grill outside also made for an incredible meal cooked on the brick patio just outside. A family of five deer ate leisurely on the lawn a couple of days. The stairways down to the private dock was also an amazing asset. Wi-Fi worked great, and we enjoyed movies on our laptops. And with Pt. Reyes Station and the National Seashore all a short drive in either direction, this is absolutely a re-do: worth every penny."

  • superb vacation rental experience

"This was one of our best experiences utilizing VRBO. Phil and Patsy were great hosts, providing important information about our stay, and allowing us to enjoy the serenity of this special vacation home. The cottage was spotless, we appreciated the hardwood floors, and the abundance of light from the windows. The gardens were spectacular, the view of Tomales Bay was a treat, and listening to the fountain at night was a nice touch to enhance the ambience. Thank you for sharing the Secret Garden Cottage! Bob and Christine"

  • Perfect Family Retreat

"We spent 5 days here with 2 families (4 kids aged 12, 11, 9 and 9) and we could not have enjoyed our stay more. The house was tranquil and inviting -- perfectly laid out for together time as well as quiet spaces for sleeping and reading. There was a designer among us, who enjoyed the classic, low key California style -- open spaces oriented towards views, large natural beams (with bonus of some climbing pegs -- fun for our wall-climbing tweens). The main space is open and airy, with one end open onto windows and a balcony in the trees, and the other end all windows and another balcony overlooking the water. There's a little cozy t.v. nook where the kids could play or watch a video, or grownups could talk late at night, two large private bedrooms downstairs (comfy beds), and two nice lofts upstairs. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a nice family dinner, although you need to improvise a little (move the desk to the table) to get 8 people sitting down for a meal."
