  • Lovely rustic cabin in the woods

"My husband, two children and I had a wonderful 3 night stay. The cabin is rustic but well appointed with a everything you need in the kitchen and a comfortable living room with a sofa, rocking chairs and a wood burning fireplace. In order to reach the house you cross a bridge over a small creek. The home is surrounded by beautiful trees and lots of wildlife. We saw deer, squirrels, and enjoyed the singing of many birds. The beds were comfortable and the room had plenty of space for our family of 4. The house is centrally located. It is a short drive to Pt. Reyes and many nearby attractions. We look forward to renting the home again in the future."

  • A magical retreat

"Stayed here for a family celebration and all of us, from toddler to middle schooler to grandparents alike, were so smitten with this place. It was filled with great books, a few great toys, and the kitchen items of my dreams (the best rental kitchen I've ever encountered). I spent much of my time fantasizing about my own family living there--it was so comfortable and tasteful and perfect. We ate outside, played on the rope swing, cooked up numerous feasts, and even played tennis down the road! Margaret was a pleasure to communicate with. Couldn't recommend more highly!"

  • A magical stay in a design home above Tomales bay.

"Sometimes the cliche "pictures do not show the beauty of the place" is very appropriate. The home of mrs Hill is a fantastic, all wood and glass cottage lying in complete serenity above Tomales bay. The house is in Seahaven, which is a very tranquil part of Inverness, all woodland, deer and turkey buzzards. There are three houses nearby but none has a view into the property. The property itself is a DREAM. It is clearly somebodys beloved summer house and NOT a typical rental. There are pictures of the family that owns it and poetry books, and You may use the telescope and walking stick. Almost all walls consist of redwood and glass and the house is exquisitely designed so that the beauty of the outside always is present. The views from the huge two storey living room are to die for, and are just as gorgeous from the bedroom. The Patio and hot tub are excellent. The kitchen is spotless and I hope guests continue to try to keep it so. The floors on the upper storey have wall to wall carpeting which is perhaps a little retro, but it is a very nice feeling when You walk barefoot on it. I clearly had the impression that I was a guest at the cottage of a very good friend. You who are fortunate enough to spend a week here should treat this magical place as the place of privilege it truly is. Use, enjoy, but never destroy it, nor the serenity of the place. It is an ideal retreat for a couple and will definitely bring back any romance lost between you. I used it as a base for attending a convention in San Francisco and commuted every day. If You leave at 6AM You are in the city center 730 AM. So it is perfectly workable to use this rental whenever You attend something in SFO. Highway one is, however, not for the easily car sick...it is VERY winding. The restaurant Saltwater is very good, which is just a couple of miles away, as well as the market in Inverness Park a few miles further to the south. The Palace Market in Point Reyes caters to all your needs and there is the Cowgirl creamery a block away. Mount Tam Triple Creme is the most delicious cheese money can buy. The house also has a large collection of information about the area and several books covering the subject. You may perhaps wonder about safety? I assure You that You do not even THINK about anything untoward happening. You just revel in the bliss that You feel. Downsides? The Weber grill in the garden has a handle that gets hot so You need to use a stick to lift it. That is the ONLY downside."

  • Perfect Getaway!

"True to the description, this wonderful home has amazing views that can be seen from every corner of each room! This place is secluded, quite, and one with nature. Hiking trails were nearby, we saw deer from the deck one morning. The home is very well equip with internet and a gourmet kitchen and all the elements needed for cooking a wonderful meal. The living room and bedroom were all super comfortable with a real luxury feeling. As described, the place was very clean and had plenty of supplies (towels, etc). This place is perfect and I look forward to returning again and again!"
