  • So freaking awesome!

"I stayed on the Magnolia with my mom and 8 year old nephew. It was the most amazing rental I can even imagine. First of all, staying on a houseboat, to an 8 year old farm kid, was such a cool experience. He loved the upper deck and the cool beds he had to climb up to. The Magnolia is furnished beautifully, and was spotless. The showerhead was one of my favorite features. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could possibly want, and there was lots of information about the area to read. There were kayaks and a rowboat to use; we didn't have time to try them out unfortunately. I would HIGHLY recommend staying on the Magnolia, it was an experience of a lifetime!"

  • Exceptional in every way!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We have stayed at inns, B&B's, hotels, castles, and all sorts of places all over the world, and this stay was right up there with the best. Lilian was a great hostess. The location is spectacular and the views are amazing. The house is extremely comfortable, warm, and cozy. We loved the location. We could walk down the hill in 10 minutes to the market for groceries or to go to the bakery or a restaurant, or walk to the ferry to catch a ride to downtown San Francisco right to the Ferry Building and cable cars. We were only 15 minutes to Muir Woods National Park or an hour's drive to Napa. There is a lot to do in the Marin Headlands (don't miss the Bonita Point Lighthouse), and that is a 5-10 drive (go on the weekday and you'll miss the crowds). We walked up and down the hilly streets and hidden step paths to town and got to admire all the hillside homes along the way. The only downside for those who don't like to walk is that what goes down must go up--the steps and streets are very steep, so the walk back up can be a little strenuous. However, if you can't walk, then you can drive down. Our teenage boys found a basketball court and tennis court nearby, which they used for skateboarding since no-one else was there. We had a perfect combination of things to do for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful, quiet days and evenings, spectacular views, a cozy home, and lots to do, and Lilian had everything we needed. The place was spotless and very well maintained. We would highly recommend this house. The McDonalds Grand Rapids, MI"

  • Fantastic place to stay

"What a wonderful home! It is ideally situated just a few blocks off the bay and several restaurants. It's so peaceful here and yet you are just a few minutes walk to the ferry boat and a short ride to San Francisco. We had six people in our party and had plenty of room. We really enjoyed hanging out on the deck. I'm not a morning person, but the sun coming up over the water was a gentle nudge to wake to fantastic weather and get an early start on the day. We will be back. Great memories."
