  • Fantastic place to stay

"What a wonderful home! It is ideally situated just a few blocks off the bay and several restaurants. It's so peaceful here and yet you are just a few minutes walk to the ferry boat and a short ride to San Francisco. We had six people in our party and had plenty of room. We really enjoyed hanging out on the deck. I'm not a morning person, but the sun coming up over the water was a gentle nudge to wake to fantastic weather and get an early start on the day. We will be back. Great memories."

  • Wonderfully romantic and charming

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the Lonestar. It was magical falling asleep on the water and even more magical waking up in the beautiful Sausalito harbor and eating breakfast on the dock. The house boat is very comfortable, beautifully decorated and contains many fascinating objects. It is also in a great location - on the water, away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy parts of Sausalito. Although downtown Sausalito is not too far - a bike ride or long walk away. It is only a couple of blocks away from restaurants and a supermarket, and on the tourist bus route. We loved walking on the docks and viewing the other interesting house boats."

  • Quiet, relaxing, refreshing cottage

"If you are searching and comparing sites and locations for a relaxing, comfortable stay in Sausalito - your search is over. This quaint, well kept cottage will met all your needs in a home away from home. Really, put away your spread sheet and tear up your notes because the chore is over - pack your bags - lightly as most all essentials are waiting for you. Plenty of restaurants, coffee shops out door activities and shops are well within walking distance. The views of Richardson Bay are calming and a treat any time of the day. There is plenty of on street parking is available in this wonderful residential neighborhood. The owners have provided a drawer full of maps, restaurant menus and items of historic and entertaining interest. I would recommend getting a BayAreaFastrak for your vehicle. There are no "cash" toll booths on the Golden Gate Bridge (GGB) and it'll save you some time and money with the quick trips to San Francisco. There are plenty of trails (Sausalito - Mill Valley, for example) for unlimited biking and running in addition to a scenic route from Sausalito through Fort Baker and across the GGB or the Marin Headlands. Once you have enjoyed the peace and relaxing atmosphere of the cottage, you'll be back. We can speak from experience."

  • Came for the views, wanted to stay for the views..

"Did I mention the views? Both bedrooms open onto a southern view of Angel Island, Alcatraz, San Francisco... Wake up to dozens of sailboats or kayaks or rowing practice. Sit out on the deck watching the seals frolic underneath you. Sleep in on the extremely comfortable beds. Bring groceries and eat in as everything you need is in the house. Or walk down to the waterfront and eat at one of the amazing restaurants. Or take a short drive up 101 to wineries. Or take a 20 minute drive across the Golden Gate to enjoy San Francisco. In short, this is the perfect place to sit and check out from life for a while or a home base for tourism. Allison and her sister are amazing hosts, they bend over backwards to help and are always accessible for questions or any needs you may have. Why are you still reading this... go book the house."
