  • Best of Salmon Creek!

"Hattie's Cottage, light filled and spacious, feels like a lovingly created and cared for home rather than a tourist rental. Robin is obviously an artist--the decor is so tasteful and comfortable. The bed upstairs is just firm enough--super comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with new cabinets and new appliances plus every little thing you might need for cooking at home, and everything works! The lovely hosts, Robin and Randy (and Hattie the dog) live right across the street and are generous, available and responsive when needed while being completely respectful of visitors' privacy. The amazing two mile white sand beach seen from the gorgeous picture windows both in the living and dining rooms is five minutes' easy walk from the house. It's different every day and inexplicably empty most of the time, even in the summer ... except for the many kinds of birds staging hysterical performance shows on the seashore and around the creek. Lots to do in the area within short driving distance in any direction, if you're in an active mood. Robin put together a fantastic info book with up-to-date recommendations of where to eat and what to do to last you for weeks on end. This time around, I spent three weeks here on a solo winter retreat just hanging out, walking the beach, and staring into space. By the end I basically wanted to move in and never leave. Not even to go out to my very favorite restaurant in a 50 mile radius, the Terrapin Creek Café. We have stayed in five other places in Salmon Creek and Hattie's takes the Grand Prix!"

  • Luxury Cabin At The Mountain Top

"Crow's nest is truly a hidden gem. Tuked away from the main roads, it sits under ancient trees on top of the mountain with beautiful green valley under your feet. The view is spectacular! The cabin itself is tastefully designed, spacious, and well stocked with everything. My husband and I love everything about this place - well designed kitchen with a view, double showered bathroom, fireplace, comfy bed... And there are friendly horses and donky who sometimes come out of the barn to say hi! The owners - Catherine and her parents are super nice and helpful. It's a fantastic stay. We will definitely come back!"

  • The stay was great Was the first time We had rented a house it was a great time.

"The property was very nice and a great view. It was a wet weekend so we rented a 4 wheel drive just to make sure we were good to get to property per one of the reviews we had read with the steep drive. The only thing we couldn't figure out was the outside lights on the west deck and the outside lights on the sauna I didn't mess with bulbs to see if burned out"

  • A perfect weekend

"We loved this house. Gorgeous views of the trees and the river as you have your morning coffee on the deck with the fog lifting off the river. A really fun canoe and kayak. Every day the kids took off exploring down the river to find the sandy beaches or rope swings. The house also stocked a ton of fun water toys - super soakers, air-matressess, kiddy pools, etc. It was really comfortable for our family (with a six year old and a two year old). We didn't worry about rescuing knick-knacks from the toddler or spilling juice on a white carpet. :--) The kitchen was well stocked and very easy to work in. We cooked a birthday dinner and baked a cake. Fantastic! We had a really great time."
