  • Easy Family Get-Away

"It was a very easy experience dealing with Russian River Getaways. The house is not far from town. It feels as though you are miles away and have a private place. Really, though, it's a crowded neighborhood and narrow, steep streets. The hot tub is relaxing, the redwoods are amazing and the creek is lovely to look at. Though we did not receive phone service on our cell phones (apparently AT&T is not strongly supported), the house has a land line and wifi. You can watch TV or movies or listen to music. The kitchen has what you need to make yourself at home. With so much to do in the Russian River area, this is a great spot to stay."

  • This is a great get-away!

"This is the second time we have enjoyed Riverfern. It is beautifully appointed with all the comforts that make you feel like a treasured guest. Riverfern is a wonderful place to re-group, relax and rest. The only problem we found was that it was difficult to leave! And thank you again, Jayne, for your kindness and flexibility with our arrival date. For sure, we will be coming back to Riverfern! Jim Armstrong and Sarah Hansen"

  • Hidden riverfront gem! Step back in time!

"Beautiful riverfront property tucked away down a dirt road just miles from the coast. Enter the gated property into the the beautiful gardens, and a magical little home awaits you. The acre property is completely fenced, which is great for kids and dogs, and has very mature trees and landscaping. It's a private oasis. The house is perfect for a family to vacation at with open kitchen, comfortable living room stocked with games and books, and two bedroom (that are connected) and 1.5 baths. The deck is perfect for BBQing and dining outdoors and the patio has a gas fire pit for sitting around and enjoying company, a glass of wine and a few too many s'mores! The river is right behind the property and there is a gate so dogs and kids can't freely run into the river at their whim. 😉 There are two kayaks and a canoe and many life vests. The river is wide and deep behind the house for great canoeing and kayaking, with a picturesque view to enjoy from the dock. (No river views from the home, the view is of the magistical trees with complete privacy, but the river is directly behind the property). The tiny town is only a short walk down the dirt road with a great coffee shop/bakery, candy store, post office, general store, a few galleries and little shops and 2 restaurants. We highly recommend this home for a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of life. Life slows down in Duncan Mills to a beautiful pace and this riverfront home captures it perfectly."

  • Great weekend getaway!

"We were visiting Guerneville for a relaxing, weekend getaway to celebrate two of our friends' birthdays. We were a group of 7 women and the house was a perfect size for us. The house is very spacious and clean and the layout is great! The kitchen is well-equipped, which is always a bonus for our group. Having dock access was very nice and we spent a whole day out on the river. We had a delicious dinner at the nearby Agriculture Public House and visited some nearby wineries. Karen was very helpful and responsive to our questions. We will definitely be back!!"
