  • Perfectly comfortable and beautiful

"What a gem. We did not expect all that came with the house. Perfect arrangement of rooms and beds for all, lovely landscapes and fun yards to run around. Our little kids loved and the grandparents were delighted as well."

  • Bella Vist Farm-Very Homey and a wonderful getaway for all ages

"This was a lovely home for our Family Xmas Getaway. The view and surroundings where quite beautiful, the fog sitting in the valley in the morning was really nice. Felt like I was a little girl at my Grandmothers house. There was plenty of room in all three bedrooms, bathrooms where remodeled and big. There was plenty of room for everyone and the picture bay window was perfect for our Christmas Tree. The Kitchen had a good chef stove to cook on. Also lots of pots, pans and utensils. Beds where comfortable. There where lots of plus's and only a few things that where issues. In the summer would be awesome for hiking and hang out on the deck, on a lounger or in a hammock. It was too cold 4us Things to be aware of: If you want to check in early give plenty of time, (days in advance) I tried contacting the local contact on Wednesday before our Friday arrival, email and by phone and did not receive a call back until 2 hours after our check in. Evolve could not authorize early check in so this was a disappointment as check in was at 4pm and getting everything in before dark was difficult especially with the lighting not working. I also sent an email to both local contact with below issues and never heard a peep back. The lighting to the front did not work and the solar lighting on the steps to the front door also did not work, it was very dark and slippery. Use caution There was supposed to be an extra parking spot but an old beat up car was in this spot and made it difficult for other to find somewhere to park their car. Good heat but did not disperse through the house well. Bottom master was incredibly hot and the front bedroom was cold and the up stairs room was SUPER cold. The door from the mud room has been removed and the cold really came down the hallway and kept that part of the house chilly. Bedding- downstairs bed was very comfortable but man did it squeak, something really should be done about that as it is kind of embarrassing. Linens on upstairs bed was very worn, a bit tattered and couple sleeping up in this room stated the sheets started to teal due to holes in them. They wanted Trash separated which is fantastic but we did not have the proper receptacles to do this and had to have guests take trash home when they left. Not a nice parting gift. There was no sponges or scrubbers to wash dishes and no electric coffee pot, there was a French Press but for large groups it is not easy to make hot fresh coffee with this type of coffee maker."

  • Wonderful Wine country get away... and more!

"We just got back to SF from our 4 day vacation stay at the Zen Barn and the memory of it will keep me warm and cozy until the SF fog melts away and Indian Summer returns! The studio itself was charming and very well appointed with designer touches and tasteful furnishings. The views out of the many windows and the sliding glass doors overlooking the gardens were so pleasing and restful. The grounds where the gardens are located are beautiful with California native plants and fruit trees. Because of the drought, it is also very dry and dusty at this time of year so the surrounding area looks a bit dry. Be careful if you take food outside. Wasps were a problem and we had to retreat back indoors. The kitchen supples are adequate but a few things were a little tired. The owner's dining and destination recommendations are spot on and personal long time favorites. I would add a visit to the (Michelin 1 Star) Farmhouse Inn and Restaurant off of River Road, just under 10 minutes from the studio. The dinner there was the highlight of our stay. As a dinner guest, you may use the pool and spa facilities onsite. Both the owner and the onsite contact, Corinne were very pleasant and very helpful. 700 square feet is very generous for a studio and a spacious bathroom plus you can't beat the location off of Vine Hill road. We look forward to our next visit to the beautiful and restful Zen Barn!"

  • Fantastic property and host

"Heidi was a kind, thorough, and helpful host. The property was very well maintained and had lots of extra surprises. We were unlucky with the weather (rain!) but lucky with the property ... so much to do! We had lots of great family time by the fireplace. Our kids spent hours playing games in the loft area. Our highlight was baking pizzas outside in the well appointed open air kitchen/dining area. We had an incredible time all around!"
