  • Perfect for us!

"Thank you Derek, bear paw was such a super place for us to hang out and feel at home! The kids had a blast exploring the fenced-in back yard, there was even a pile of snow for them (in the shade). We took evening walks, watched movies, played Inside/outside by nite and explored the pikes peak region by day. Our house here in Divide is a bit too small to host my brother's family of 5, it was nice to spread out and enjoy bear paw! The kitchen is well equipped, the decor is cozy and the house well laid out so everyone had a place to do their own thing. Thanks for a perfect stay!! Kathleen A. Divide, CO"

  • Lovely Mountain Cabin Experience

"This is a great cabin; we had a lovely experience. It is a very "considerate" property - there are lots of nice extras provided, from coffee to a great fireplace, to lots of kitchen appliances, lovely linens, extra blankets, and the heat was even turned up when we arrived. It snowed during our stay, and the property manager had the lane plowed for us. There was a snow shovel, broom, and ice melt left for us as well. The directions and communication before and during our stay were perfect, and we appreciated the large "how to" manual left in the cabin. Everything worked fine - the WiFi, dishwasher, hot water, etc. The property inside and out was very clean and easy to live in. We had no trouble identifying the property boundaries and never saw a neighbor. The road is fairly close, but not well traveled, and you can't hear traffic at all (other than the snow plow, which we were grateful for). The cabin is the perfect blend of remote with easy access to town. I loved, loved the daily visits from the deer family. We named them and looked forward to seeing them every afternoon. Coming from a busy city life, it was just a lovely retreat in nature. We can't wait to go back!"

  • I could live here

"I am a city girl but a country/farm girl at heart. I absolutely love every minute of our experience at Chuck and Joy's place. The peaceful and majestic property is breathtaking. We are parents of 3 and took this weekend just for us. Husband and wife. It was refreshing and being in that environment you really are able to "check out" and relax/rest in a way we are never able to do at home! We have been before and did all the activities and sight seeing which was equally amazing so whether you are looking for a time of adventure or a time of rest this place offers both!! As I said I'm the title.....I could live there."

  • Perfect Getaway

"My boyfriend and I stayed the weekend before Valentine's day and had an amazing and relaxing weekend. The property is very clean and the house is cozy and comfortable. Upon arriving I ran around the house squeaking in excitement and taking everything in. Gay and Gary provided everything we needed from kitchen supplies to towels and toiletries. They also had wildlife guides and a binder full of nearby trails with maps and attractions which came in really handy as we didn't get cell reception and hadn't planned our outings beforehand. I loved that there was no cell service (t-mobile), it really added to the feel of "getting away from everything." We took advantage of the hot tub every chance we could get, and loved looking out over the porch to the beautiful views, especially after it had snowed. We even got to watch a fox trotting around the property! There are some other properties visible from the porch, but they were far enough away that we felt secluded. I also loved the fireplace and extra blankets as I get cold very easily. There were plenty of books, games, and movies to keep us entertained when we felt like staying in, and great sights to see when we wanted to explore. It was the perfect getaway spot and we loved every minute of our stay!"
