  • OUTSTANDING Hostess

"I've been using VRBO for over 15 years but never have i experienced the level of service given by Christine! My two girlfriends and I were so pampered! A quick list of what she did that was unexpected: 1) outfitted the kitchen with anything I requested (I'm a chef so that was a big ask) include yummy cheese just waiting for our late arrival, 2) left stamped postcards for us to send to family and friends, 3) Had our favorite shampoo, conditioner and body wash. (Pantene and Olay.... I'm a former P&G employee!), 4) We each had our own bath puff, 5) beds were made and had towel "swans" sitting on them!, 6) left a great note to introduce us to the neighbors, 7) FREE parking. AND MORE! The location cannot be beat. We had an efficiency just off the beach with an amazing view. The updated apt was very tastefully remodeled and pristine clean. We spent a lot of time at the pool and at the beach which were both clean and close! My husband and I are already talking about when we can go down and enjoy this little gem together! I had spent time in this area before and loved being able to walk right down the street to Astrid's French Bakery (OMG!!) I also love Sanvo cuban restaurant. Other than those diner beware....I haven't eaten anywhere else I would recommend although there may be other good places. It is great to fix your own food. Just know that as an efficiency the kitchen area is very small and there is no oven. You will have two burners, microwave, coffee maker, blender, electric tea pot and nice sized fridge. Thank you Christine!"

  • Cannot beat the location!

"Location is FABULOUS! You're practically on the beach and there are great views of the ocean from the upper level. You do have to walk through the hotel main floor/lobby to get to the section w/ the townhouses. There are no ramps in the hotel so you will need to carry your luggage up/down several small flights of stairs Had a few issues with the house itself. Property mgr called us at 3pm the day we were supposed to be checking in to inform us that the previous tenants left late and that the cleaning service had not yet been over to clean the house. Luckily, we were out & about and were not planning on being at the house until later. House seemed somewhat clean when we arrived. It would have been nice to get a call saying the place was ready. Noticed that there was still laundry left in both the dryer & wet clothes in the washer. Needed to do some laundry, so i did remove the linens left in the dryer and ran the washed linens through the dryer so they didn't get moldy. 2nd day there, we went to the local Publix to get groceries for our stay. That night, we went to use the grill only to find the grill was left dirty and the propane tank was empty. It was disappointing given we had gotten several meat items to grill. I brought this to the property managers attention, but it was never fixed. There was one roll of toliet paper in each bathroom (no extra) & one Kleenex box that only had two tissues left in it. Brought this to the mgr's attention and I was told that it is the responsibility of the tenant. Had to buy own Sheets on the bed were beyond wrinkled & looked like they had been left in the dryer for a month. Decided to change them out for the ones left in the dryer. Things to keep in mind: -The A/C never shut off during our 5 day stay and it is loud -Kitchen is stocked but missing basic things like Cutting boards, Steak knives, salt & pepper, a clean sponge and oven mitts -Must provide own detergent for washer/dryer. I suggest packing Purex 2in1 laundry sheets if you are traveling from out of town (they are non liquid) -No cell service in the house. We have Verizon and had to go outside to make calls. WiFi works fine with password -Beach towels are provided along with a small umbrella -No tubs in either bathroom & kitchen sink is very small, so if you are bringing children keep that in mind -Check inventories on arrival. The Publix is 5min north of place -Valet service can be VERY slow so plan accordingly for flights/reservations (30min)"

  • Overall, a good stay

"First, the property is larger in real life than the pictures make it out to be. I was pleasantly surprised. It literally is on the beach and you can see the ocean from the master bedroom. Valet parking was both a blessing and a curse - it was nice to not have to worry about parking in Miami but during peak times we waited about 25 minutes to receive our car. Overall, the unit does show signs of age. Don't plan on using the oven - the outside cover has no bolts attaching it to the actual stove, and was on the floor when we walked in. Stovetop worked fine though."
