  • Great location!

"This is a small unit but had everything we needed. Literally steps to the beach. Only 6 units in the complex which we also loved."

  • Fall Break Bliss

"My family of 4 had a delightful stay at Island Dawn in mid-October. The home was the perfect layout for my 17mo old to safely run around, and my 7 year old enjoyed her own room and bathroom. The pool was a huge hit and the temp was perfect without needing the heater (outside temps ran 84-87). The house was wonderfully stocked from the kitchen utensils to the beach and pool supplies! Plenty of linens (bathroom towels, pool/beach towels, and sheets.) We loaded up the beach cart daily for the quick walk down to the ocean (only about 5 mins, even for my 7 mo pregnant self!) WiFi was strong and reliable. Cable and TVs were great. It was so nice having a washer/dryer in the home for keeping up with the laundry. Management company was accomodating and checking in/out were a breeze. AMI is quaint and quiet and perfect for what we were looking for. Not much in the way of entertainment and restaurants, but we stayed in often for meals since bedtimes were rather early for the kids. The walk to the main drag (Pine Ave) was an easy 3 miles round trip, and we frequently started our morning off at the Donut Experiment (try the cold brewed house coffee!). Even taking on the extra half mile or so down to the pier and other shops was easy! Dinner at the Sandbar was very tasty, and I'd imagine the sunsets would be beautiful from the patio, but we didn't stay late enough to verify! Preparing for the trip, I did send a few questions to Dawn and she was quick to respond! We had no issues during our stay that warranted any further communication. Thank you for offering up your home!"

  • Amazing oasis - heavenly!

"What can we say... this was so perfect. This was the best vacation I've had since my honeymoon in Aruba. My wife, 2 year old daughter, and I stayed here for a week in October 2016. It was one of the best weeks ever. The house was clean, neat, and peaceful. The kitchen was a pleasure to cook in, both bathrooms were clean and spacious. The bedrooms were quiet and comfortable. Ceiling fans in all the rooms added to the comfort level. The backyard was incredible. The wall and privacy fence, nicely screened by tropical landscaping, make it feel as if you are swimming in a secluded tropical pool. The two waterfalls into the pool are a delightful element are added much to the ambiance. The pool itself was one of the most pleasant I've ever been in - warm, and inviting. I've never swum in a saltwater pool before, and it was fantastic. The pool was the perfect size for a family fun. Access to the beach was a short walk off Beach Ave. The beach was wonderful - never crowded, covered with shells for us to hunt. We went during the day, and then again after dinner to watch the sunset. Just be careful when you walk home along Gulf Dr - there is a narrow shoulder and the crosswalks aren't well lit. There were pool floats, towels, beach umbrellas, snorkels, a beach wagon, bicycles, a medium cooler, and beach toys in the garage. There was a highchair, and we left behind a toddler potty if anyone cares to use it. The owner David was very friendly and responsive as well. Plan on having to purchase most staples - we needed toilet paper and garbage bags beyond the normal perishables you might expect. (Maybe that's normal? In our limited rental experience, those things have been provided.) Publix is a short distance away, and has just about everything you will need. Honestly the only negative of any significance is that we had to leave. If we could move in here permanently, we would. Simply put, this week exceeded our expectations."

  • Perfect for our 2 families !

"Loved everything about this house ! First, it was CLEAN! Other favorites and things we appreciated: - POOL: kids and adults used it every day. It was big and clean. Fun pool toys for all ages. - BEACH: 2 blocks or about 5-8 minute walk. Have to cross a busy street, but usually cars would stop for our crew. We brought a beach wagon from home which made it super easy to haul our stuff. You can rent one locally if you are flying. -HOUSE: comfortable beds, plenty of pillows and extra blankets. We fit 6 kids into the bunk room. House was stocked with pretty much everything ! The kids loved the wii sports - great way to take a break from the sun. Would stay again here if we come back !"
