  • very good home , quiet

"We enjoy the stay, was a very short drive to Blue Ridge , very quiet, beautiful home and views. I only give a 4 star because our phones don't work, and their was no land line, and not internet. The kids went crazy, and I worry about if something happening ,we have no way to call anyone. But other then that was perfect. Very clean, very organized, have everything you need in the Kitchen, Lot's of space, lot's of fun. Thank you for allow us to stay in your cabin. We have a great time. I have already recommend to some friends."

  • Relaxing Family Vacation

"My husband and 2 teenage children enjoyed our week long summer vacation at Reeves Roost. We loved the cabin! The kitchen is wonderfully equipped for any meal that you would want to prepare. The bedding and hand soaps were a nice surprise. It was great having a washer/dryer for the week. The porch sitting was a hit with a beautiful view. We used the grill provided and grilled food most days. We enjoyed the tubes provided and tubed in the cool water right in front of the cabin. The owners are so easy to work with and have many tips about the Blue Ridge area if needed."

  • Wonderful Memories at this cabin!

"We are a family of up to 7. This cabin was comfy but not stuffy at all. We loved the mountain views and the cabin had all of the extras such as satellite TV, AC, a coffee maker, and 2 full baths. We stayed 3 nights and it was lovely! We enjoyed playing in the river, tried our hand at fishing (no luck, just too hot) and also enjoyed walking on the nature trails! The best part were the dogs! We loved spending time with Dixie and Buster. We are not "dog" people, but these were the gentlest, friendliest, and best behaved dogs that we've ever met! We saw a lot of wildlife while we visited, mostly birds, a couple of turtles, minnows and a black snake (it was non-venomous). The walk down to the river from the cabin was a little steep, so I'd make sure that you supervise kids the first couple of times. My mother-in-law went with us and she had to catch her breath a couple of times on the way back up (but so did I, lol). The "Steep" nature trail, was definitely harder to manage than the one behind the cabin. I am moderately in shape and I had a hard time with climbing back up the hill. Once you make it down to the river, there are very well maintained walking paths near the river. I was entertaining the idea of trail running, but I don't know if that's a good idea in general. There were a lot of roots and stuff hidden under the forest floor. Our favorite place was the "island" where my kids enjoyed wading into the shallows and I just lounged in the chairs provided. There is also a nice garden area with a gazebo. I was concerned about ticks, but the trails are well maintained and we didn't seem to get any. We also used an all natural bug repellent before every walk or excursion outdoors. I was hoping for just a couple of days away from the daily grind, but what I got out of it was so much more! I felt like this experience gave my kids a chance to experience nature, work off extra energy (they slept really well) and they ended up caring so deeply for Dixie the dog. On our last morning at the cabin, my daughter was in tears, she didn't want to leave the cabin or the dogs behind! This was not just a temper tantrum, she genuinely cared for the dogs! Overall, it was the best mountain vacation ever!"

  • The amazing Toccoa House

"This is our second time at the Toccoa House. My family is large, so this Resort meets all our needs. It is comfortable for us, the kitchen is full equipped for cooking a meal to satisfy 16 hungry people. There was a comfy highchair for my 8 mo. great granddaughter. The bedrooms on the lower level were so quiet that most of us could party on the main level and never disturb her sleep. We had people from Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Indiana and Ohio attend this family gathering. The swimming pool was fabulous!! The teenagers enjoyed the Hot tub. We all played games outside. There is plenty of room for activities inside and out. I can't say enough good things about this property. We all had a wonderful time...I highly recommend this resort. Blue Ridge is a great town to visit. The Blue Ridge Lake is beautiful, some of us rented a pontoon. Some of our crew went White Water Rafting, which they enjoyed. Ingles grocery in Blue Ridge is amazing...wish we had one here."
