  • Good value in an expensive area

"For the money, this property is outstanding, especially considering how close it is to the best beaches on the island and how accessible it is to easy grocery shopping. The unit itself is just shy of 5 stars due to a few minor things, none of which impacted our vacation. The master bedroom mattress has topography (!), the whole place could use a fresh coat of paint, and it was tough to be eco friendly and save towels because there were hardly any places to hang the wet ones in the master bathroom. Also the vertical blinds in front of the main patio door are falling apart and so don't offer any privacy at night (this didn't bother us, but it might bother other guests). None of these issues detracted from our vacation at all. Kitchen was well stocked and it was very nice to find chairs and other beach goodies in the unit. Would stay here again."

  • Great stay

"The pictures do not do this condo justice. The kitchen has everything you need and more. The BBQ and lani with table and chairs was wonderful. The bathrooms are stocked with everything also. We used the all the beach equipment everyday all the items were nice and well maintained. The only issue we had was the beds were really hard for us. The beach access is near by we didn't walk there it was hot and muggy while we were there it is only a 5 minute drive. The resort area is nice but Kona has all the tourist things like restaurants and shopping. The beaches on this side of the island are great. The big island has so much to do we did do a lot of driving so just be prepared for that."

  • Pristine, luxury condo in central location

"We had a very enjoyable stay with our family at this well-maintained, luxuriously-appointed, spacious condo in Waikoloa beach resort area. From the comfortable beds to the spacious bathrooms, we weren't missing any of the comforts of a luxury resort. Plus, we had all the comforts of home with the newly-applianced kitchen and relaxing living area. The Hali'i Kai property was also great. The multi-layered pool with its nooks, crannies and waterfall was the perfect place to relax. We also used the basketball court (you can get a ball from the front office). We hope to stay here again for any future Hawaiian travels!"

  • Lovely Condo

"My husband I and recently spent ten days in AJ's Condo at the Waikaloa Village. We were greeted with a welcoming supply of coffee, bottled water and energy bars! The condo is clean and homey and the view from the lanai is a lovely combination of golf course and distant ocean. Sunsets are an event not to be missed. AJ advertises the condo as a one bedroom, but the loft bedroom is a full bedroom/bathroom that most condo owners advertise as their second bedroom. The Waikaloa Village is a quaint town 6 miles from the ocean. In multiple visits, we've found it to be less humid than the coast and cooler at night for comfortable sleeping without air conditioning. It is an easy drive to one of the world's greatest beaches, Hapuna as well as multiple golf courses. This condo is a great value, not fancy, but clean and decent....did I mention the lovely lanai?? AJ was easy to work with and helped make our visit a success. I would love to come back."
