  • Hawaiian paradise

"This was our third visit to Kiahuna Plantation 196. The location of this condo couldn't be better with oceanfront 180 degree views and close proximity to vacation activities! It has all of the vacation necessities, including boogie boards and snorkeling equipment. Like previous reviewers, we love the ocean breezes and the sound of crashing waves we experience here. The revamped pool/gym/food venue is an added plus. There's also fabulous dining on-site at the Plantation Gardens. We're looking forward to our next visit to Kiahuna 196! We recommend this unit!"

  • Lovely and well-equipped condo! (just note that it is 2 bedrooms + loft vs. 3 bedrooms)

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Regency condo at Poipu Kai Resort. The condo was clean and very well appointed, stocked with just about everything you could need, from nice bath, kitchen and beach towels, fun stuff to bring to the beach (boogie boards, fins, beach toys, a wagon to cart it all), soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, extra sheets, all kinds of kitchen appliances and utensils....the list goes on! It made us feel very much at home. The condo also had very nicely updated bathrooms and kitchen, fans in every room, and balconies off the living room and both downstairs bedrooms with sliding doors so you could let fresh air in. The only thing that was a surprise to us is that the third "bedroom" is actually just an open loft with two twin beds - we were expecting a room with a door that closed so we could put our 2-year-old to bed in his own room. We made it work, but the listing on VRBO was a little misleading. Even still, we felt the condo was a good value, Pam (the owner) was very nice to work with, and we had a wonderful vacation. It was great having the beach so close by, as well as many restaurants, shops, markets and other attractions. I would highly recommend staying at the Regency at Poipu Kai!"

  • Amazing location!!

"My family recently stayed at this condo for 8 nights (May 2016) and had a wonderful visit. This condo is not fancy, but it was very clean and both the regular bed and the pull out were very comfortable. The condo was well equipped with dishes, cooking tools, spices, blankets and beach towels (2). The condo also has snorkel gear (fins fit only very large feet), a boogie board (1 and the tether was broken so it was unusable) and extra beach chairs. We can't emphasize enough how wonderful this location is and having a ground floor unit that we could just walk out the back glass door to see sunrises, surfers, turtles and sunsets was so wonderful for us. The location has perfect views out the back windows all day long and when open provide a nice ocean breeze that cools down the condo quickly. Lawai beach is a minute walk away for sunning, swimming, surfing, or snorkeling. It's a tad rocky so getting in and out of surf can be a bet tricky, but it was great for snorkeling as we saw multitudes of colorful fish and sea turtles. (We did have to share the beach one day with a very lazy monk seal). Riptide shaved ice is right across from the beach access (where you should go into the water for least resistance!). The condo is located perfectly on the island as Spouting Horn and Allerton Botanical Gardens are a 5 minute drive away, Poipu Beach is a 5 minute drive away, shopping and multiple dinner locations are within 3 minutes drive. Waimea Canyon is 30 minutes west and Princeville is 1 hour north and east! And driving back into Lihue (or getting to the condo from the airport) took about 20 minutes (with traffic). Hope to visit again and we would certainly look to stay here again anytime!"
