  • Perfect little house

"The house was absolutely perfect for the weekend. Clean, great location and a very nice host. Great communication on his part, not a single problem encountered."

  • Clean, well-maintained, well-stocked, and peaceful.

"We spent three nights at the cabin. The Turner's are easy to communicate with and were extremely helpful with the several requests we had. The property is adjacent to another cabin but has a large lawn with the waterway circling around it, promoting the quiet feeling of the outdoors. A highlight of the cabin is the many hang-out nooks with comfortable chairs. The screened-in porch in the back was especially nice. The bed was great. The grill on the deck is both charcoal and gas--a definite win! (We used both.) They have two kayaks available for use on the waterway. The cabin was bigger than we needed for the two of us. This is a place I'd recommend to anyone wanting a quiet place to get away from the noise."

  • Uniquely Appointed

"We rented this property for 2 nights and were pleasantly surprised at how roomy it was. The decor was so unique. We loved the kitchen and enjoyed checking out the art. The master bath was amazing! The porch was perfect for a relaxing conversation and the island in the kitchen was a natural draw for us to gather to prepare food, eat, and laugh together. This home is truly a gem!! We will definitely rent again, if the occasion arises!"

  • We have stayed at Matfield Station in the past and continue to find it a wonderful place to be.

"Matfield Station in a comfortable and well stocked place with views of the rolling green hills of the Flint Hills - gorgeous. We so enjoy sitting outside in the evening watching the stars as they can only be seen when city lights are far away. The sound of the crickets and cicadas, together with fireflies blinking on and off adds to the charm. And then there are the trains. They can be heard from quite a distance as they approach and then appear with roaring speed. We happen to love this, but for those worried about the noise, it is not too loud when inside. We slept well and love waking to the morning light spreading over the hills."
