  • Clean, well-maintained, well-stocked, and peaceful.

"We spent three nights at the cabin. The Turner's are easy to communicate with and were extremely helpful with the several requests we had. The property is adjacent to another cabin but has a large lawn with the waterway circling around it, promoting the quiet feeling of the outdoors. A highlight of the cabin is the many hang-out nooks with comfortable chairs. The screened-in porch in the back was especially nice. The bed was great. The grill on the deck is both charcoal and gas--a definite win! (We used both.) They have two kayaks available for use on the waterway. The cabin was bigger than we needed for the two of us. This is a place I'd recommend to anyone wanting a quiet place to get away from the noise."

  • KS beauty at its best.

"Awesome week at a beautiful house deep in the Tall Prairie Grasses of KS. Heat and humidity stayed on us the 5 nights we were there, but the central air conditioning made all the exhausting summer elements go away. This home has everything we wanted. Well equipped to make a comfortable stay. Trains?? Right out the back door - didn't even notice them and when we did, loved it - really cool. Each morning we left for Emporia to compete in the 2016 World Disc Golf Championships. The drive back and forth was incredibly beautiful. Loved our stay."

  • Country Getaway

"What a wonderful place to go for a relaxing evening. We are in the process of building a new facility and needing a place for your technical guys to stay. They were very pleased with a quite country location and peaceful setting. The facility more than met their expectations. Recommend this for a country laid back getaway."

  • You should pick this property!

"I stayed in this property for a month with my wife and two kids after relocating to Kansas City for a new job. We stayed here a month to give us time to find a good house to move into. This place beats the socks off of staying in a hotel, trust me. The porch has a fantastic view of downtown Kansas City like the other reviewers have said. The inside is very nice and comfortable. It comes with pretty fast internet/wifi and cable television. The upstairs bedroom is large with a comfortable bed, and the upstairs bathroom is nice with two sinks and a nice shower. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, and the downstairs was comfortable too. There's two beds downstairs in the basement that are both comfortable and another bathroom in the basement too. It stays nice and cool in the basement. There's a backyard that backs up to woods, and my son enjoyed playing around in the yard. Parking wasn't ever an issue and we just parked on the street in front of the property. Another plus of the location is that it's about a block away from Slaps BBQ which is possibly the best barbecue in Kansas City. We ate there multiple times since we were so close. Definitely check out the burnt ends, they are excellent. The owner, Steve, was great and answered all our questions and was responsive to all our needs. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Kansas City."
