  • Lovely home in a beautiful setting.

"Lovely place for a family of 5. Very quiet setting, right on Somes Sound with a private dock. Well maintained house with lots of room and openplan ground floor. Loads to do in the area - biking, hiking, kayaking, swimming in Echo Lake and SouthWest harbor a great town for lobster shacks and eating / drinking."

  • Acadia Cove Cabin is perfect!

"We spent a week in mid-June in Acadia Cove Cabin and had a wonderful time. The cabin feels very remote and private, yet Southwest Harbor with stores and restaurants is just a 7 minute drive, and pretty much everything else can be reached in 20 minutes: Bass Harbor Light, Bar Harbor, Park Loop Road, Jordan's Pond, Cadillac Mountain, etc. The view from the deck and living room over Somes Sound is absolutely amazing! At low tide there is a bit of shoreline to explore, and in the mornings you can see the lobster boats come and check their traps. The kitchen comes with all the tools and utensils you need, and there were some basic spices and oils, as well as dish washing liquid and dish and paper towels. The bathroom had lots of nice fluffy towels and plenty of bathroom tissue for the week. The internet went out a few times, but usually came right back on, and the signal was very strong. The owner responded quickly to questions and was very easy to deal with - no extra charges for cleaning, linens or the dog. We would definitely visit again!"

  • Gorgeous and perfectly situated getaway spot

"All in all, we loved Seascape! From the resplendent natural surroundings to the charming decor and welcoming atmosphere, this is the perfect spot for an Acadia escape: remote enough to feel cozy and serene, while still an easy drive to the center of Bar Harbor and popular attractions like Cadillac Mountain. It was also lovely to have virtually everything we needed for our stay already here, from plentiful cookware to linens. Seascape is a place where you don't mind staying indoors all day on rainy days...we had adorable deer "visitors" each morning and could watch the view from the back deck for hours. The only downsides weren't much to complain about: as others have commented, the walls are not insulated, and light sleepers or anyone traveling with loud children/loud talkers/amorous couples might not appreciate that there are *no* secrets in the house. The upstairs shower is very, very small, and the so-described "book and DVD library" is too. Thankfully, the Wi-Fi worked quite well. Otherwise, everything was perfect and we would love to return again!"

  • A Perfect Retreat

"The Acadia Cottage was perfect for our stay in the area. It was clean, cozy and had everything we needed and then some! Its perch up on a hill offers great views and lovely breezes. Other than the owner - who we met upon arrival - we never saw another person while at the cottage. The location is absolutely perfect - away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor (just a 15 minute drive away) and close to the lovely little village of Southwest Harbor. Make sure you spend some time in the shops and restaurants there - CODA, Beal's Lobster, and Quietside Cafe (for ice cream) were our favorites. Be sure to do the Acadia Mountain hike for views that can't be found in the national park. We look forward to being able to stay here again!"
