  • Perfect Location!

"Having never been to Bar Harbor before, we were a bit uncertain as to whether we should stay downtown or in the woods somewhere, since we expected this to be a very outdoorsy trip. As a young couple (late twenties), we couldn't have ended up happier with the location of this apartment. It is a minutes walk from all of the great restaurants, shops, bars and other attractions in Bar Harbor while still being a bit tucked away on what was definitely a more quiet street in the town. It has parking so it was great to be able to walk downtown to go out to dinner without worrying about where to park your car and dealing with that stress. We could get anywhere from here in minutes! It is also right off the shore path, which was great for talking runs and walks -- such a beautiful place to get an evening run in -- breath taking views. We also enjoyed how close it was to the farmer's market. We could drive to and be at almost any location in the park in just a few minutes too (after picking up coffee and a pastry at the bakery next door). The apartment itself is as described. It was basic, but had everything we needed and was very clean. The owners are very sweet and responded to a question we had but gave us our privacy. I thought it was sweet they even sent us a Christmas card! We made many fun memories on this trip and we really look forward to coming back sooner than later! We would definitely recommend this apartment and Bar Harbor."

  • Comfortable, relaxing, and perfect!

"I have been to Maine a few times, but had never made it to Acadia NP. I'm so glad that I was finally able to get the family up there, and that we found Acadie Cottage. It was perfect for the 5 of us. The cottage has more than enough space and is off the beaten path enough that you don't feel totally surrounded by people like you do in Bar Harbor itself. I have used VRBO several times and this was the simplest and easiest transaction yet. While I have never met, or even actually talked to Rhonda (only email), it was like staying at an old friends house. It was simply comfortable and relaxing to come back to the cottage after hitting it hard all day in the Park. We were on vacation for over 3 weeks throughout New England and Quebec, stayed at some very nice places, and this one was my families unanimous pick as our favorite of the trip. My family and I thank you Rhonda!"

  • Water-side Gem!

"We loved this place! We rented both cabins for our family - my parents and brother stayed in east cabin, we were in the west - five of use were very comfortable! The view was amazing from our decks - having access to the water was wonderful!! Our own private view of the amazing tidal changes and the lobster boats at work. The cabins were clean, well-appointed, and they even had charcoal for the grill. The beds were so comfy!!The bathrooms are a bit small, so it was perfect that we had outside showers at each cabin!! No cable, but the wifi worked very well! Not far from downtown Bar Harbor, Acadia, etc.... We WILL be back!!!"

  • Great little Cottage

"My 2 little Yorkshire terriers and I stayed here for a week....we just got home yesterday. I have no complaints. The house was built in the 40's and has retained a lot of the charm of a cottage from that era. It is clean and comfortable and is walking distance to town by only a few blocks. Several great restaurants are within that walk to town too. Acadia National Park is less than a 10 minute drive. The free shuttles weren't running yet for the most part during my stay....they start on the 23rd of June. But once they are there's no need to even take your car out of the drive-way. My week's vacation consisted of hiking the many trails and summiting a few of the mountains of Acadia and biking the Carriage Roads. I will be making this an annual visit and will look forward to booking this house again next year.....if not sooner."
