"The main cottage, with two upstairs bedrooms, was pure beach-charm. Lots of windows, gas-log fireplace, small sitting porches front and back, the back one great for playing card games or eating or just relaxing. It's cozy, but with a big-house feel. My wife and I stayed there, as did our son, in the large bedrooms.
The living/family room has the thermostat-controlled fireplace; wonderful for a chilly evening. There are two large sofas (seating for 3 or 4) and a recliner. The tv is wall-mounted. Surprise guests could sleep on the sofas---remove the back cushions and you now have two twin beds! The kitchen has the appliances, ample pots and pans and dinnerware needed for relaxed dinner preparation and serving. The washer and dryer are on the now-enclosed porch on the back, by the card-table.
The smaller cottage in the back is equally charming. Our daughter and husband of three and a half months stayed there. It has everything the larger cottage has except for the fireplace; it has one thing the other does not have, a video game station. The two buildings share the deck and cozy yard (with a _third_ outdoor picnic table) and a driveway for two to three cars.
The nearest convenience store is some half-mile away, maybe a comfortable 15 minute walk. The three nearest restaurants (pizza, seafood, and all-American) are within a 5 minute drive, as is the closest supermarket (Stop & Shop).
Cozy, convenient, quiet, roomy---we were able to really relax and enjoy our stay, and are heartily recommending it to friends and family!"
