  • The Best Rest Ever

"2 Burned out Moms and 2 tired daughters found refuge in this beautiful property. From the moment we walked in, we felt at home. The home is spotless and its obvious who ever built this home was a perfectionist. The girls (in their 20's) were delighted to have their own sleeping suite downstairs. We loved that we each found our quiet place...front porch, back porch, pool and little patio off the lower deck. It was peaceful. We floated in the lovely pool, chatted for hours under the Pergola, read books, cooked good food and barely left the place! There was a brief afternoon of outlet shopping, eating lunch out and a nice wine bar....but honestly, we loved this place so much we just cacooned for the week. The home is very well equipped and you will lack for nothing while there. The beach is close to take in some beautiful sunsets...my daughter is a runner and found it a great place to run. The beds while in great shape were a little firm for our old bones...but a quick trip to Walmart for a foam topper fixed us right up.....the girls of course slept like princesses. We would definitely come back to this Oasis. Owners were wonderful to work with."

  • Wonderful location-- everything you would need!

"This was our second trip to New Buffalo, and our first stay in this house. We will definitely be back! Linda and Al were very helpful with getting everything set up and booked. The house was perfect for us-- my husband and I were very comfortable in the master bedroom and our 16 month old was happy as a clam in her own bedroom too! Lots of space to hang out-- two separate living room areas were nice to utilize with our active toddler. Kitchen was well-equipped and we used the grill one night. Walking distance to the downtown/beach area-- we did that several times since the weather was so beautiful. We will definitely stay here again because the price, location, and amenities would be impossible to beat!"

  • A Wonderful Weekend By The Beach

"Our weekend at Whispering Pines was fantastic. The house is cozy and comfortable--the perfect place for a quiet weekend for two. It's also big enough to accommodate a family comfortably. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and feel at home. Whispering Pines is surrounded by trees and is so quaint! We enjoyed a quiet afternoon lounging in the beautiful screened-in porch and found ourselves taking walks around the neighborhood. With the beach only a few blocks away, each morning and night we took leisurely walks along the shore. You are close enough to New Buffalo, Sawyer, and Three Oaks--all three towns are wonderful places to shop and eat. A great weekend away to disconnect from the world and enjoy the woods, sand, and water in Michiana Shores!"

  • The House, The Beach, The View!

"What a wonderful place to spend a vacation! My family (6 adults and one dog) recently spent a week at this beautiful cottage on Lake Michigan. We also had friends from Chicago, a family with two grade-school aged kids, come visit us for a day to go to the beach. We've been visiting southwest Michigan for about 15 years now, and although we had never stayed in Michiana, we will certainly be back. Hopefully to this house, because it has so much to offer. First, it is bigger than it looks - with four bedrooms and two baths everyone had their own space. There were also two common living areas - the front living room and the back family room/porch - plus a huge dining room, well-appointed kitchen, and the front deck, where we spent most of our time. Yes, the deck overlooks Lake Michigan. Morning, afternoon, and sunset it was our favorite place to be. There are lake views available from multiple rooms inside the beautifully decorated house, too. Michiana is a beautiful place. The beach is clean and uncrowded, although there are small rocks at the shoreline so be sure to bring beach shoes. We were happy to walk with our dog or ride the bikes (3 were provided) along Lake Shore Drive, which stretches for miles along the shore with a view of the lake. Our friends' kids loved the beach, and their parents loved how small and safe it was. Dogs are allowed on the beach before 11 a.m. and after 5 p.m., which was a treat as most local beaches do not allow dogs. The owners also provided use of a 2-person kayak, which was great fun. We also took several short trips to New Buffalo, Michigan City, and Sawyer to shop and dine out. I can't say enough about how pleasant it was to work with the owner. Anne made it easy to book, answered all of our questions about the house quickly, and was there to greet us on our arrival. She was so friendly and was just a lovely person. If you are looking for a place to spend some time getting away from it all, I must recommend this house. I wish we were headed back again next week!"
