  • Magical stay at the Madrona!

"Everything about the Madrona is perfect -- it's location in New Buffalo; the nearby pool (never crowded); the comfort and coziness of the house itself; and Howard's willingness to make everything seamless and enjoyable for his guests. Our family just spent a magical week at the Madrona and we can't wait to stay there again (hopefully next summer)!"

  • New Buffalo 5-star Condo

"I just returned from a 3-night girls getaway for 5 at this beautiful property. This condo far exceeded our expectations. It was extremely spacious, with tons of seating and sleeping space The decor was beautiful - just perfect. The convenience of the unit couldn't be beat...we were steps away from the Stray Dog restaurant. New Buffalo restaurants, shopping, the beach and grocery stores were just a stone's throw away and were easily walkable. Wineries were nearby. Matt, the owner, was extremely responsive and very helpful. I agree with previous reviewer - the pictures don't do the place justice. We loved all that the area has to offer, including New Buffalo Bill's BBQ restaurant (it's pretty new and deserves your business...great product, very personable owners), The Stray Dog, Casey's restaurant, Round Barn Winery, Dablon Winery (also fairly new...beautiful tasting room, very nice wines), Hickory Creek Winery (very good wines), Journeyman's Distillery, the Villager gift shop, and Barney's for groceries, and the beautiful New Buffalo beach for walking."

  • Great Stay as Always

"This is our third time renting this vacation home in New Buffalo, Michigan. As always, Linda and Al were great to work with. The house was clean and well equipped with anything you would need (etc. toys for the kids, many towels, kitchen utensil for cooking, spices, lawn chairs for the beach). They provide a free parking pass to the NB beach which waves the $10 parking fee. This is a great amenity. This is an amazing value for the area and we are so grateful that they have kept their prices reasonable for famlies vacationing on a budget. The house is in a central location, less than a mile from the beach and new Buffalo's downtown area . There is a small (free) splash pad for children 5 and under just up the street. The house is locate between St. Joe's Silver Beach (25 min. North) and Michigan City (20 min. South) which has a zoo, splash pad and outlet mall. There are many wineries close by as well. We took the South Shore Line train to downtown Chicago and the whole trip was about an hour and a half. 30 minutes to the train station and an hour to get into downtown Chicago. The neighborhood is quaint and nice, I did my daily run and felt very comfortable in the area. Thank you Linda and Al for this wonderful opportunity!! Our four-year-old keeps telling us he misses the Michigan home. We hope to return again soon."

  • Beautiful and so convenient!!!

"We have stayed in New Buffalo for years and this was our favorite place yet. It is so convenient to all New Buffalo has to offer. It's within walking distance to everything. The townhome is exceptional. It is beautifully decorated and makes you feel right at home. It couldn't have been any cleaner. We stayed with 2 other couples and there was plenty of room for all. The outdoor areas were amazing. We enjoyed them all of them!! The owners were wonderful to deal with. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and are looking forward to returning again and again!!!"
