  • Awesome Views!

"The views from Kinderhook Castle are amazing! The community fireworks show was on July 1st, all 15 of us said it was by far the best views of fireworks we have ever had. The castle fit our group of 15 with no problem, there was plenty of gathering spots and plenty of space to have some quiet reading time. We enjoyed the golf course, tennis courts, we also rented a boat and jet ski in Osage Beach. The basketball court and pool table kept the kids busy. We saw a lot of deer, a fox, an armadillo, and even a groundhog. Owner was a breeze to work with throughout the rental process."

  • Couldn't have been happier!!!

"From the minute we booked with Tim and Yvette they were so accommodating! This was a last minute getaway for my family and they really made it work for us! My kids 8 and 11 enjoyed all the amenities while not complaining about the lack of Wi-Fi in today's times that is a big feat! This is one of the best features of the home. Though they discovered they can get reception if they sat on the sun deck of the boat house, so at least they were out in nature. :) As far as the house it is simply amazing! There is absolutely NO detail that has been overlooked from the beautiful deck and kitchen to the tiki hut and sundeck with the radio to the awesome man cave for grilling!! We loved the hammock that we found in the tiki hut that allowed me to read while our kids kayaked! I hope we have expressed our gratitude by signing the guest book with 2 pages of praises! My husband just couldn't rave enough about Tim and Yvette and their beautiful home and either can I! The quiet part of the lake is a dream come true in today's times! My daughter and I really connected to nature as we did yoga on both the deck and the sun deck while my son and husband played catch in the beautiful yard! The seven hour drive was well worth it! Thank you again for helping my family experience a piece of your heaven which is your home! Trish, Matt, Aubree (11) and Charlie (8) Rogde New Lenox, IL"

  • Wonderful house in a quiet location close to a beautiful state park

"The house worked out perfectly for our needs this past week. There were seven people in our group, and with four bedrooms everyone had plenty of space. The house was very clean upon arrival and the kitchen had a good assortment of cookware and appliances. The yard and dock were also very clean and well maintained. There was a lot of shade with all the trees. We spent hours in the water every day - the private dock is a nice feature. For me, the wave runner platforms were great for launching my 17 foot sea kayak. It's only a 20 minute paddle upstream to Onyx Cave and a 20 minute paddle downstream to Ha Ha Tonka State Park. We met the owners of the nearby Sugarloaf Winery at lunch one day and they dropped off some craft beer while boating the next day; good neighbors, plus you can rent kayaks and paddle boards there. We really enjoyed Ha Ha Tonka State Park and hiked there on three occasions; it's only a 10 minute drive. The location of your house couldn't have been better for our activities. Thanks for helping make our family vacation a memorable and successful one!"

  • Spacious and quiet

"This place is wonderful for large groups. We just returned from our family vacation with 23 people (ages 2-80) and absolutely loved it. There is plenty of space indoors and on the deck for everyone. There is a short walk to the water and there's not a great view of the lake, but it was nice to relax and not be worried about kiddos falling in the water. There is a huge dock that we parked our boat at and went swimming every day. It's a great place to swim since it's so far back in a cove. I would suggest bringing a larger grill from home if you want to grill out for a large crew. That being said, the two kitchens made meals so much easier and gave us more space to store stuff. There is plenty of parking- we had 9 vehicles. It is also close to plenty of stores, gas stations, restaurants, etc. The owners are wonderful to work with! We will definitely be back again next year."
