  • Beautiful cabin and property

"My wife and I, 2 teenagers and 2 dogs had a wonderful Christmas at the cabin. The kids really enjoyed the loft and the property as a whole is kept in amazing condition and is very "park-like". Listening to the waterfall and stream with a glass of wine in the afternoon is about as good as it gets. The cabin is decorated very tastefully and has everything you would need including coffee ready for brewing. The kitchen is a bit small for cooking but we made it work. The property manager is the most accommodating we've ever encountered. She became our savior when we got a little lost when we arrived. In all, we highly recommend this listing and fell in love with the area in general."

  • Perfect Getaway

"Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed this lovely home and the thoughtful attention which has been put into everything in preparation for their guests. The home is generously appointed with everything you'll need for a comfortable visit to the mountains. The property management company was responsive and accommodating although we had no issues to report our entire visit. As frequent VRBO travelers, we were very impressed with the "essentials" which were readily available had we forgotten them ourselves! Hairdryer, toilet paper, dish soap, paper towels, tin foil, salt & pepper....these are the littlest of things, but it's amazing how frequently we've found ourselves making a run to the store for something basic that no one thought to pack. And for those more inclined to wonder about the "comfort items" this home offered the best of those too. The bedding was luxurious, the towels and pillows plentiful and top quality, and I think we all had some of the best sleep we'd had in months on this getaway. The spa was extremely clean and well maintained and there just isn't a bad thing to say about the cleanliness or offerings of this property. We took advantage of some of the suggested tourist activities on the homeowner's "fact sheet" about the area, and were not disappointed. The hiking was beautiful (despite being overcast most of our stay) and their suggestions were spot on. If you are looking for an escape to the Highlands area, don't hesitate to book this home. The layout is nice offering privacy on 3 different levels, 2 common living areas and porches both screened in and open air out every door. A fabulous place if you're visiting this beautiful part of the country anytime of year! Thank you for the hospitality, we wouldn't hesitate to return!"

  • Beyond Our Expectations - Lakefront and Close To Town

"We had the pleasure of staying at this property in July of this year. Truly, it exceeded our expectations. The property is beyond special. It's like a shoot from Town and Country magazine. It really feels like you're at an estate home. The grounds are enchanting ... winding stone paths and lake front views everywhere. The furnishings are exquisite, the appointments are thoughtful and it was stocked with firewood for the outdoor fire pit and the living room main fireplace - which we used every night. It was also close to downtown Highlands. (Great restaurants). We also walked around the lake every night and used the two canoes. My daughter and son in law stayed in the guest house... which is ADORABLE .... and my grand kids stayed in the loft.. they loved the loft! This home is kind of like visiting a WPA lodge... it feels historic the moment you walk in it... but it's perfectly preserved and updated and the lake siting can't be described. Oh... my husband was on the internet the whole time... and we enjoyed the flat screen TV's everywhere. My favorite spot was the main terrace overlooking the lake at cocktail hour ... it was just phenomenal .... and there were no great pictures of it. The fire pit was there too. We'll be back. I'm surprised that they rent it all ... it's that special."

  • Great House in Highlands

"Took a rafting trip with a great crew, and had a blast. This spacious retreat is exactly what the doctor ordered. Sitting on the raised back porch with my coffee it felt like I was in a luxurious treehouse. About 5 miles from Highland shopping district, and 45 min away from Southeastern Expeditions. I Will be back next year."
