  • Beautiful House & Spectacular Views*Very Relaxing

"This mountain view house is stunning and well appointed. Books on the area helped me identify the gorgeous blooming plants on the property and in the little garden. Hiking info helped me identify the fabulous mountains I was seeing and planning my hiking day. Very comfortable with family touches that made me feel at home. The "tree room" bedroom has a stunning sunrise view. I recommend it. The kitchen had more that what I needed for preparing scrumptious meals which we ate outside on the large deck. The house is paneled with cypress wood with a stone fireplace and pine floors. Beautiful. At night, the large windows and expanses of glass made the stars part of my evening ritual. Bet Hollingswood is beautiful in the snow. Will come again."

  • Cozy, Comfortable, Eclectic

"Our experience with this rental was excellent. The property manager is efficient and helpful, and responded immediately to email and telephone contacts. The house is nicely furnished and decorated in an eclectic manner that was different and more interesting than traditionally decorated "mountain" homes. We had beautiful warm weather so really got to enjoy the outdoor space. The wrap around porch is wonderful. We took full advantage of the creek views on the front of the house and on our one cold night, we built a fire in the outdoor pit and gathered on the back porch for sunset cocktails. Based on a previous comment, we brought umbrella-type folding chairs with us, so we had plenty of seating on the expansive porches. This unit is very close to downtown but is secluded enough to provide privacy and a mountain atmosphere. Interior seating, for lounging, is somewhat limited and best accommodates four adults. As kitchen is well equipped with dishes, flatware, utensils, and pots and pans, there is very little space for storing dry goods, other than counter tops. Overall, this is a great place and an excellent value for the rental price."

  • Natural Beauty & Classic Charm; Unwind with Sunsets, Warm Hearth & Warm Hearts

"Can you bring teens, tots, seniors and the sandwhich generation together for fun in one place? We did! This home is simple, warm and classic with a big living room that opens onto a deck with a perfect view of the mountains at sunset. There is a dining room for six, but we squeezed in nine for a candlelight dinner, and could have had many more if we had set up the extra tables in the closet. The house is very well equipped for table events; card games, crafting, scrap-booking, meals, showers, packing Christmas-child boxes, or make-overs & Mary Kay parties. ( I would recommend it for a retreat or mom escape weekend, but we brought kids & introduced them all to Trivial Pursuit! ) There is a lovely working fireplace and a sense of calm and connection with nature. The walls are wood paneled and there is a lot of natural light. There are two bathrooms and two bedrooms, but also a fold out sofa and roll-away bed & pack 'n play. If you are fittness folks, downtown is an easy morning run, so you can jog out for your morning cup of coffee at Bucks. Next time I would like to come for a longer stretch and get more outdoor time in the beautiful woods, but even if you're a homebody and an introvert, the house is a lovely escape from noise and frenzy."
