  • A cozy and inviting cottage close to town

"This cottage is adorable! The back porch was my favorite place to relax on comfortable outdoor furniture while enjoying the incredible view. Everything we needed was provided for, and I loved that the front yard was completely fenced since the road in front was quite busy with travelers. It is close to town and only about 9 miles from Cashiers, another pretty area to see."

  • Peaceful getaway with spectacular view and excellent location

"Want a tranquil, zen spot to unwind and soak in nature? This is it! Amazing views of the mountains with equally amazing deck with multiple spots to relax. All amenities are top quality. Conveniently located near a perfect moderately difficult hiking trail. Easy road access. Shopping in nearby towns is a short drive but good luck getting out as you won't want to leave the house. All bedrooms and bath are wonderful."

  • Treehouse is the epitome of Highlands!

"We rented the Treehouse to be our home base for our daughters' wedding in Highlands. In the past, we have rented homes higher up on the mountain for the views. Treehouse gives you the best of both worlds. This beautiful home is walking distance to town while making you feel like you're in a treehouse. The peaceful beauty from the lovely porch with a roaring fire was perfect for our bridesmaids breakfast. The inside of the house is beautifully rustic in keeping with the feel of Highlands. Three levels give everyone their privacy. The owners were delightful and so helpful. I enjoyed talking to Carol several times before our wedding week. If you stay in Treehouse, you won't be disappointed!!"

  • Perfect cottage surrounded by hills but close to town!

"If you want the best of both worlds in Highlands, this little cottage is perfect -- quiet and away from it all, but also close to the fun and activity of Highlands. With one bedroom upstairs and one downstairs, the home feels spacious and at the same time cozy. The back porch is nestled amid towering rhododendrum, and a beautiful creek weaves across the back yard. For our week's stay, I don't think we heard a car go by a single time. I loved the experience of just getting there -- putting my car in low gear and climbing up the winding Stoney Creek Road to the front door. This is a "don't miss" home away from home if you want a full Highlands experience."
