  • Second time as good as the first

"This is the second time our family has stayed at Nestledown. It was exactly as we remembered it - comfortable, peaceful, and convenient. A true home away from home. The hot tub and new grill were just icing on the cake. We enjoyed lounging on the front and back porches, short trips to both Cashiers, Highlands and even Asheville, and all day breezes through open windows. We'll be back."

  • We enjoyed our time here

"My husband and I stayed here for almost one month. We were on the go a lot and it was very easy coming and going from this property. It is well situated between Highlands and Cashiers. The place is nicely decorated. The kitchen is super well stocked for any type of cooking. I particularly liked the china, pretty autumn leaves. The bed linens are cotton sheen nice, high thread count sheets, however both my husband and agreed the two queen beds were too soft for us. We tried both. Just like all the other reviewers said, the neighbors are super nice and welcoming. They are a definite plus. I loved sitting out on the deck listening to the wind blowing through the trees and the stream far away. Sometimes we would enjoy happy hour with the neighbors. The Wifi worked good - we used it everyday, as we brought our laptop. The A/C worked good - sometimes we needed it, as some afternoons got hot. The owner is a quick communicator, very responsive. I always enjoyed coming home to the neighborhood and the home itself. Happy memories."

  • Beautiful Comfortable Home

"We recently spent a few days in Highlands and could not have stayed in a more beautiful, comfortable home. The home was perfect inside and out. Several seating areas within the home so we could hang out with each other or go to a quiet spot and read for a while. The screened in porch was the perfect spot for a glass of wine in the afternoon. The bridge leading to the playhouse was amazing and the plush landscaping was visible from all the large windows in the main area. All the bedrooms were very extremely nice, but the master bedroom and bath were like a high end spa. I am already planning another girls trip and hope to stay here again. I would recommend that if you are going to Highlands, you could not find a more beautiful, private and comfortable home to stay in. The location was also good, between Highlands and Cashiers. Thanks to Chris and Elizabeth for sharing your home with us."
