  • Beautiful location, incredible property.

"From the onset, Karl's service and responsiveness gave us a good vibe. When we arrived we were so pleased with everything the cabin had to offer and the attention to detail and the upkeep the cabin seemed to be receiving. Clean, organized, everything you need (we were trying to make a smoothie one morning and were shocked they even had a blender in the pantry we could use). From the property perspective, it was one of those times when you say to yourself "the pictures did not do it justice." We are already planning on a return trip in the summer! Thanks Karl."

  • Cozy Cabin

"My wife and I just spent three nights at Thistle Dew and had a wonderful stay at this warm and cozy cabin. The very clean cabin is recently remodeled with all amenities and is nicely decorated. Just a short walk to downtown Highlands and in a beautiful wilderness setting. Definitely a cabin we will want to visit again."

  • A Lovely Christmas Vacation in the Mountains

"The mountain view was absolutely gorgeous, and we enjoyed many morning cups of coffee on the porch to take it all in. The cabin was tastefully decorated and had everything we needed in order to cook. I even found a sprig of Rosemary in the garden for my Christmas turkey! We also loved being able to take our well-mannered dog with us. The fenced-in area below the porch was great fun for her. On the very cold days, we still had beautiful views through the large, picture windows in the kitchen and living room, as well as from upstairs. There was plenty of room for all five of us to relax. The heaters in the home worked well, and we also enjoyed the fireplace. We had no internet while we were there, but this was a good thing for us. The phone was all we needed. Quaint, downtown Highlands is very close by, and the coffee shop provided wireless internet for when we needed to take care of business matters. There are lots of fun stores to browse, and I recommend Wild Thyme restaurant for lunch. I look forward to visiting this cabin again in the spring or summer, when the owner's terraced gardens will be in bloom, when we can make better use of the bonus screen-porch room, and when our hikes will be warmer. Oh, and the owner's downstairs bathroom expansion will likely be done by then, too. This property is a gem."
