  • BearAire - A Great Place to Stay In Higlands, NC!!!

"This garage apartment was an excellent place to stay. It is located about 5 minutes from Downtown Highlands in a quiet, secluded area. The owners, Mike and Victoria, are outstanding people who have done a great job of furnishing the apartment. Mike went out of his way to be helpful in providing information about the restaurants and places to see in the Highlands area. He even took us on a tour of Highlands, which was greatly appreciated. This apartment has everything one would need to enjoy a visit. The WiFi worked great. There is the Sleep Number bed, 2 flat screen TVs with all the movie channels, comfortable seating, and a kitchen with everything you might need to cooking. There are 2 air conditioners but fortunately, we did not need to use them because the weather was great. There is a washer & dryer downstairs in the garage if you need them. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Highlands. We highly recommend BearAire as a wonderful place to stay."

  • We enjoyed our time here

"My husband and I stayed here for almost one month. We were on the go a lot and it was very easy coming and going from this property. It is well situated between Highlands and Cashiers. The place is nicely decorated. The kitchen is super well stocked for any type of cooking. I particularly liked the china, pretty autumn leaves. The bed linens are cotton sheen nice, high thread count sheets, however both my husband and agreed the two queen beds were too soft for us. We tried both. Just like all the other reviewers said, the neighbors are super nice and welcoming. They are a definite plus. I loved sitting out on the deck listening to the wind blowing through the trees and the stream far away. Sometimes we would enjoy happy hour with the neighbors. The Wifi worked good - we used it everyday, as we brought our laptop. The A/C worked good - sometimes we needed it, as some afternoons got hot. The owner is a quick communicator, very responsive. I always enjoyed coming home to the neighborhood and the home itself. Happy memories."

  • Perfect cottage surrounded by hills but close to town!

"If you want the best of both worlds in Highlands, this little cottage is perfect -- quiet and away from it all, but also close to the fun and activity of Highlands. With one bedroom upstairs and one downstairs, the home feels spacious and at the same time cozy. The back porch is nestled amid towering rhododendrum, and a beautiful creek weaves across the back yard. For our week's stay, I don't think we heard a car go by a single time. I loved the experience of just getting there -- putting my car in low gear and climbing up the winding Stoney Creek Road to the front door. This is a "don't miss" home away from home if you want a full Highlands experience."

  • Great getaway location

"We were fortunate to book a stay through iTravex for this great mountain cabin. It is charming and comfortable, secluded but within 10 minutes of the town center of Cashiers. Wi-fi is included. It is convenient to the most amazing waterfalls east of the Mississippi. We wanted for nothing but more time there. Thanks!!"
