  • It felt like home!

"Great place to stay! It really felt like home and we hope to return some day. The weather was cold outside but we enjoyed the family time together and played lots of cards and board games. It's very close to Terry Peak so made it convenient for skiing also."

  • Secluded and Great for Children

"We had a wonderful time at the Stratobowl Creekside Retreat. This property was perfect for our kids who are 5 and 8. We would spend the day exploring the black hills and the afternoon floating in the creek, catching crickets in the field, playing Frisbee in the backyard, or going for a short hikes along the creek. At night we would stare and the stars and enjoy the sound of the creek flowing over the rocks. One afternoon we saw wild turkey. The house was clean and spacious. Ken and Cory were very gracious hosts. We couldn't have asked for a better stay."

  • It was really fun.

"Thank you to Bob and Donna. They made our trip. We were treated with the kindness and generosity that cowboys (and girls) are known for. The log cabin high on the hill is a wonderful stay. There is so much to see and do within a reasonable distance. We were there four nights. We visited Deadwood, Jewell Cave, Mount Rushmore, and Crazy Horse Memorial. Did a lot of hiking in the Badlands, Devil's Tower, and the spires (or needles) in Custer State Park. Driving to the top of Mount Coolidge, highest spot in the the Black Hills, provided amazing views as did all of our hikes. Going to the Wall Drug Store is an adventure, but be wary of the high prices on the hamburgers and ice cream. The chocolate was the best I have ever had and the hamburger was one of the worst. As for Rapid City there are good restaurants and statues of all 42 presidents on the corners of the streets. Be careful where you park. There are many city lots that will hit you for a $25 ticket. That's about it. Sorry we had to leave so soon. Hopefully we will return some day. Regards. MS"
