  • Lovely vacation cabin

"Our family loved our time at this house - it was well laid out for a group of families to have their own spaces/tv time/quiet time as well as group time with large tv (dish network and lots of good dvds on hand). There is also a great fireplace (that we didn't use because it is July)- a firepit - and an outdoor grill. The location was quiet and serene, up a hill and treetop views.House was very clean and well maintained. I especially appreciated that the house was really fully stocked. It was set up well enough that the owners themselves could drop in for a vacation of their own and not have to bring "supplies" - except for personal items and fresh food. Plenty of everything, very well stocked kitchen with appliances, utensils, dishes and serving ware. They graciously gave us permission to delay our departure (at my request), making it much easier for us to get our families with children fed, dressed, packed, etc. We had an excursion to the Coker Creek Falls as a Saturday outing - not too far away, lovely set of seven falls with a Park Service trail connecting them. I am very happy that we chose this house for our multi-family weekend away."

  • Awesome!!!

"We were on motorcycles and it was better than the dragon!!! It was an adventure every day leaving and coming back. The house was a throw back to the good old days, the rotary phone, to golden color appliances was so neat. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, and the deck was great to sit out and drink coffee in the morning. It was great to have the washer and dryer to do laundry, because we only had an extra outfit, so we did laundry every other day. We did not use the bunkhouse, but if we would have had children, it would have been great! We walked the trail to Barewood Cabin one day to use the internet, but I did not miss the cell or internet service. We was going to use the hot tub, but was always to tired to get in it when we got back. Lee and Patrick had a snack basket waiting for us, and they were the nicest hostess we have every had!! If you are looking for peace and quiet, then Hemlock Grove is your place!!"

  • Pleased

"My family and I stayed at Blue Shutter in Bear Paw for 5 days. We found everything we have at home to make our stay feel like home. The cottage was in great condition and tidy. There were also lots of things to see around the area within a short drive. We would definitely book another stay there. Thank you Callie for sharing your place with us.- Maggie"

  • Perfect spot for a Mother/Daughter Getaway!

"My mother and I stayed at Stoneybrook Cottage over the Memorial Day weekend for a short but much needed mother/daughter getaway. We absolutely loved the cottage! We were exited to find it sparkling clean, decorated with unique antique furniture with fun touches like antique hats, a pipe holder and antique pictures and fully stocked with everything we could need in the kitchen. The bedrooms are beautiful and very comfortable. The pillows in the master bedroom are the most comfortable I have ever slept on (we plan to buy a set for our own beds!). The bathroom was clean as well. The wireless internet works great although we didn't need use it much choosing to enjoy each other's company instead. We visited the nearby Ingles grocery store for weekend grocery supplies and made ourselves at home for our stay. We watched movies and ate dinner in the living room both nights (thanks for the easy-to-follow DVD instructions) and also made great use of the rocking chairs on the front porch for late night chats and breakfast coffee. We didn't have time to build a fire but there are two perfect spots for it if weather and time allow. There are little touches all around the cottage that make this such a special place. We shared our time on the porch with a bird nesting her eggs on a specially made perch and enjoyed the view of the mountains in the distance as we sat and peacefully spent our time together. This is a wonderful place that is comfortable and clean and much like staying at home and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area. Tourist attractions like the Lost Sea Adventure, the Ocoee River and Hiwassee River are close yet far enough away to allow for peace and quiet during all hours of the day. We drove into Tellico Plains and enjoyed the bakery for breakfast and Tellico Cats for a lovely lunch overlooking the river. We plan to be back as soon as we can schedule another trip. Thank you for helping us make some very special memories!"
