River Road Hideout PRIVATE RIVER ACCESS! Pet friendly

Welcome to Tellico Plains! Tucked away on the side of Bullet Mountain, you will find our log cabin which was custom built in 2015 and situated on 10 wooded acres. This cabin served as our primary residence until 2020, when we bought additional property and made the difficult decision to leave our beloved cabin on the mountain. Now, we want to share this experience with you, and hope you enjoy your time at the cabin as much as we did! Motorcycle and Angler friendly!

Beginning May 8th you will have private access to the Tellico River via our farm across the road. Take a dip and cool off or go wet a line just 300 yards from your front door!

The cabin was cozy and very homey with snacks and lots of information about the surrounding area. The location was beautiful with seclusion but still close to town and the Skyway. We will definitely stay here again.

The location is close to Tellico Plains but far enough away. Very nice cabin and hosts. This is place has everything you need except your food. It has condiments, paper towels, plates, cups silverware.

The photos of this beautiful cabin do not do it justice. This cabin was definitely built with love and has so much character. The hosts were very hospitable and communicated quickly. I would have loved to stay longer. From coffee on the front porch, hearing the owls and nature and grilling out on the porch - this cabin was the perfect getaway for me and my children. Walking to the private swimming area was a little hard because of the hill but well worth it. We will definitely be back to enjoy the cabin again. Highly recommend staying in this slice of heaven on earth!!!

The property was as advertised. Very peaceful. Our only complaint was very little to no phone service and no wifi at the cabin but otherwise very good experience.

This was our second stay here and it was wonderful again! Our hosts checked on us after the area experienced an earthquake and made sure everything was okay. The cabin is perfect every stay!

We absolutely love this cabin and Lisa is an amazing host! We are able to bring our fur babies with us and that’s a must when we travel! Highly recommend!!

Perfect Place

I was visiting Tellico Plains for a fishing trip. This cabin was the perfect location to get into town and to access the Cherokee National Forest. The hosts were accommodating and easy to communicate with. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfection!

Our stay at your cabin was absolutely perfect! The cabin was thoughtfully stocked with coffee and snacks, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Its location was ideal—close enough to town for convenience but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful seclusion.The private river access was a highlight of our trip! Our dog loved playing by the water while my husband got to fish. Even though the lower river road was partially shut down for bridge repairs, it didn’t stop us from having an amazing time exploring Tellico and trout fishing.We loved visiting the Trout Mountain Coffeehouse and Tellico Outfitters, where the kind shop owner gave us excellent directions for fishing the upper Tellico River. The local dining options were a treat as well—both the Mexican restaurant and the Iron Works Grille were fantastic (Iron Works Grille easily earns 5 stars!).We completely fell in love with your cabin and Tellico itself. We can’t wait to return and share this wonderful experience with our daughters. Thank you for providing such a lovely place for us to create these unforgettable memories! We can’t wait to visit again!

Excellent Thanksgiving

This is a beautiful cabin and in an excellent location. The host are extremely friendly and very easy to keep in touch with if needed. The cabin has everything you would need for cooking or anything else. We hope to be back in a few weeks for the New Years.

A relaxing getaway. The hosts were great and supportive. The house itself was very unique and had a lot of artistic handiwork. The location was perfect since they have property across the street with the river running through it. Our dog absolutely loved it.

Hello! We are James and Lisa Hertz, a husband and wife with two goofy dogs. We love this Cabin and all East Tennessee has to offer.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

We built this custom log cabin in 2015, and it served as our primary residence until recently. We purchased more land and another home, and couldn't bare the thought of selling our first home together, and decided to offer it for others to enjoy.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Unlike some "cabins" in this area, this is an actual custom built log home, situated on 10 acres, as opposed to a prefabricated building that has been finished out. We are minutes from the Cherohala Skyway, the Tellico River, and the Cherokee National Forest, and a few miles from Bald River Falls. Hiking trails are abundant in the area for outdoor enthusiasts. We are motorcycle, angler and pet friendly. Come see all East Tennessee has to offer or just hang out and enjoy quiet time around the fire pit or playing cornhole!
